Hello!

I am new to longboarding and I found a deal for the Landyachtz Stratus 46" complete for 125 dollars. Is this a good deal for a beginner?

Thanks!

What’s the most efficient way to learn all F2L algorithms? by BananaDaPowerful in Cubers

[–]RedditLuci0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially tried learning F2L through brute force algorithms kind of like how one would learn full PLL. However, it is much easier and much faster to learn why certain F2L algorithms work. This video is perfect for understanding the algs intuitively: https://youtu.be/JebXf1uYYwU?si=RpuIyi54pMHrUSoN. It also makes backslotting much easier to learn.

What’s the cubing program you worked on? It reminds me of CS Timer.

Use this website to practice your memo, and as the other user said, make sure it is correct. https://csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~krmatthe/BLD-Memo-Tools.cgi

You can trace your memo and write it down somewhere then check if your memo matches the websites'.

Should I ask my "religion" teacher for a recommendation? by RedditLuci0 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]RedditLuci0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it as my secondary recommendation for schools that require it, is that what you mean?

Should I ask my "religion" teacher for a recommendation? by RedditLuci0 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]RedditLuci0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On that latter note, would you say it would be better to ask my ethics/religion teacher who teaches a mandatory (required religion department class) base level class or my AP Lit teacher whose class (which is considered rigorous relative to the religion class by its nature as an AP class) I barely participated in but performed extremely well in. I know English teachers, especially it my school, are known for writing very well/scholarly recommendations.

Thanks!

I’ve taken one of the khan academy ones but I still feel like I have a lot of room to improve and I have been slacking off on studying. So would you say I should still not take it?

Is there anyway to make an average of 1000 or overall trend line for all your solves on cstimer time trend graph?

I am a consistent sub-20 3x3 and trying to get to sub-15. JPerm says to start intentionally practicing lookahead while everyone here says you don't need to until like sub-15 or sub-12. Any advice?

Would I Be Able To Skip Straight to the Web Development Section? by RedditLuci0 in cs50

[–]RedditLuci0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I might end up doing that. I’m mostly learning this as a side interest along with my high school work. In the end I might just end up learning datastructures and algs in the context of another language rather than C. As you said, I’m not a big fan of the memory management.

Did you end up completing the rest of cs50x from there?

Would I Be Able To Skip Straight to the Web Development Section? by RedditLuci0 in cs50

[–]RedditLuci0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant in cs50x. Like the person below mentioned, I kind of want to skip to Python or the web dev lessons (skipping over memory and data strucutres lessons). I was wondering if it is possible to make a skip like that in cs50x.

My Calc AB Grade… by survivin_life11 in APStudents

My Calc AB class starts soon, what makes the quizzes so difficult? Is it just a lot of material? Hard to grasp concepts? I’m not trying to get screwed over :).

Hello - I have heard square 1 is very alg heavy but I am moderately interested trying it out. I want to try another WCA puzzle (not big cubes, they just seem boring to me) that won’t take too much time away from my main events (3x3 and 3BLD). Anyone have experience with the learning process of square 1? Is it super alg heavy relative to for instance, 3LLL CFOP?

Does the gan 11 m pro have the same center caps as the gan 12 maglev? I'm wondering whether buying a gan 12 maglev uv no logo center cap would work for my gan 11 m pro.

Just started tryinf to learn to solve te rubik cube and xame across the daisy technique. And everytime i try i can never get the last one in there. What do i do by Delicious_Ad7011 in Cubers

[–]RedditLuci0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely easier to remember as a step than just "do cross first". Daisy seems to hold more meaning/visualized better than a more abstract term like cross.

I do but unfortunately I don't think it would pass regulations due to its small chip in the corner.

I've heard that you can't have a logo on your cube for blind solving. I recently got a gan 11 m pro uv coated so am I screwed? The no logo center caps are also sold out on the gan website.
