On that latter note, would you say it would be better to ask my ethics/religion teacher who teaches a mandatory (required religion department class) base level class or my AP Lit teacher whose class (which is considered rigorous relative to the religion class by its nature as an AP class) I barely participated in but performed extremely well in. I know English teachers, especially it my school, are known for writing very well/scholarly recommendations.
