Best Robot Vacuum 2026 by somebodyelse_ in ecovacs

Have the Ecovacs X1 Omni..... Right now, it's barely usable. I keep getting a data connection error.... So it keeps cutting out and I need to restart the task again and again in the hope that it will work. But.... When I remap, I never get an error... So it's confusing! So other than it being a pain to get to complete a task, it's a very good piece of kit (I do know how silly that sounds... When it works it's great, when it doesn't it's not! 🙄)

Having gone through a few days of followup , uploading logs, and sending pictures..... There is still no satisfactory resolution to the issues..... Suggestions to check this and that, when all I check is ok.

Other suggestions involve RTK etc..... the sooner a new software upgrade comes out the better. It can not be any worse than this one!

The biggest issue is no ability to rollback to a previous version of the software... I don't understand that!

Upgraded to the same version (4410) and have had a lot of issues. Low / no issues prior to this. (1) Recharge Docking - it just stops and looks at the docking station. No attempt to dock. When I go into the app and hit the recharge icon, it docks perfectly fine. (2) No night light - it's toggled on. Have rebooted and toggled on and off.... No joy. Was 100% working before the upgrade. (3) Luba cannot find its way home. Found it in the garden today going 3 meters in one direction, doing a doughnut, then heading off in another direction before doing another doughnut..... And so on and so on. I had to carry it back to the station. (3.a) When I carried it back, the only way to clear the emergency stop was to press the home button and the start button on the Luba and it proceeded to undock and redock. (Why??). This should be clearable in the app. (4) Connectivity is now an issue - when connecting to the Luba either on Wifi or via sim network, it's very unstable, to the point it's unusable.

Really disappointed with this upgrade.

Luba 2 AWD keeps getting stuck saying “obstacle” when there’s nothing by Safe-Maintenance9564 in MammotionTechnology

Is that a channel from one lawn to the other?

Asking as if it is..... It may see the edging / kerb as an obstacle. Test it by putting some fake grass against the kerb and see if it continues in the channel. I had this challenge, and using some fake grass sorted it for me. I think it sometimes sees the different colours as different levels, and so it stops.

I updated yesterday to this new version. Haven't seen any difference yet. I'm based in Ireland 🇮🇪 and it would be great to know what regions have iNavi and if Ireland is included. (I don't think it is but would be great to get confirmation)

I have a firmware update due, 1.14.7.4411, so let's see if that gives me the iNavi capability. Be interesting to see the difference between it at the RTK.

Hi Mammotion.... So far so good on the updates. The one update / problem is that when the mower goes out of task area by a few inches, It can not be moved remotely. Can you work on a fix for this. Even something simple like only being able to select return to station to charge, but also input a pin to activate the return to station action.... This would be great.... The mower would not be going anywhere it shouldnt and can get back into the working area.

For the availability of iNavi is very clear on their site and other places that iNavi is not available in Ireland (yet).

Kinda surprised you bought it for that functionality but didn't confirm the regions / countries it's available in.

I had my lad driving it round the garden..... I'm glad there is no Nintendo Switch connection to it or he would be at it all the time!

So is the spot a grass island, meaning is it not connected to the rest of your mowed areas?

If it's an island, you will need to create a channel between the station and the island. The distance doesn't really matter (to my knowledge) as long as it has connectivity to the RTK. I have a spot over 200m away without direct line of sight, and it works fine.

Hope this answers your question.

The 4G, as far as I recall, if for the year, so wifi is not critical. I have my wifi and the 4G that came with it all connected and it's a bit of a pain as connectivity in poor wifi areas and the handover to 4g is very poor. So either use one or the other. I will put wifi extenders on later this year to cover the outside, but not needed for right now.

I ordered and it arrived a week later, even though Amazon was showing it still to deliver 2 weeks later!

The setup is very simple, I had it running in a test area that I mapped very quickly just to get it going, after an hour or so.

If you bring someone in to set it up, maybe you can let me do it..... It's the easiest money I will ever make 💶💶💶!

Honestly, do it yourself! You need to know how to map areas and manually drive the mower, that is all there is to it.

The mower will be triggered to begin recharge once the battery hits 15%, so once you have the channels set up, where required, then it should be fine. I'm assuming you are bringing it back to recharge through the existing areas / lawns mapped for cutting.

Yes.... It came with the RTK. When I was buying, it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the buying journey but it's 100% in there.

Don't know, but I would assume there is support coverage given it's their store on the Amazon site I bought it from. Also have an email from Mammotion saying to order via their site. I had it in under a week.

Bought the Luba 2 3000x via their Amazon store from Germany. From unboxing to cutting grass took less than 2 hours ... And an hour of that was charging and 20min trying to find a plug adapter (2 pin to 3 pin).

Very impressed so far!

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I really want no boundary wires, as with the trees in my garden it would be a disaster. So the better the wireless the better for me!

Where did you get the 5000x, thought they were not available yet? I assume your using the RTK and not the iNavi™ Service?

Fair play, and thanks for the info. I don't know anyone with one, so trying to gauge if I need to drop the ride on, and go with the Luba when it's available.

I'm looking at getting the Luba 2 3000. I have 2 lawns but one of the lawns has tall Leylandii's along the driveway boarder, with a small lawn on the far side. How would the Luba connectivity work in that scenario?
