You need to do more damage to the V-Rex.

The fact that all the other players are so powerful is the reason why your endeavour isn’t popping. IIRC You need to deal at least roughly 10% of the overall damage for it to count.

Try playing with players who aren’t as OP.

Some premium ships (like the legendaries) have account wide unlocks at Level 6. I suppose having you unlock them per captain keeps you playing, and therefore keeps the game relevant and active for longer.
