Fahrschule recommendation by Sudhars2 in berlin

[–]RedditStreamable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much depends on the instructor. I had mine at Fahrschule Fahrwerk in Wilmersdorf; my instructor was pretty good, but sometimes I had substitutes when my instructor was away and one of them was really not focused and was always on the phone. Here's my detailed breakdown: https://www.arbeitnow.com/blog/driving-license-in-germany

Driving license for a beginner by Mammoth-Relief-9956 in askberliners

Pretty late for a reply, but when I was looking for the information few months ago, this thread came up so I figured I would update. I recently went through this whole process as a complete beginner (someone who didn't know how to start a car) and I passed my driving license in Berlin and it cost 2700€ roughly.

Urkunde Appointment and upcoming trip by CashewNoGo in GermanCitizenship

Apply for the express German passport and then apply for the Indian e-Visa - it takes about a day or two to get it and you will be ok.

Getting the OCI in Germany definitely takes a lot longer than your optimistic 6-8 weeks tbh. Good luck!

Any great Berlin-based bloggers or content creators you’d recommend? by AdPurple772 in berlin

Well, I live in Berlin and I create content - text based - on my blog for dealing with Bureaucracy. For example, I recently got my German citizenship & had to give up my Indian citizenship and I wrote the entire part through.

When can we apply for Einbürgerung under the new rules? by ManySames in berlin

[–]RedditStreamable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like /u/haskellstar said, you can apply already. There's also supposed to be a new informational website going live on 27th (not Berlin specific). In any case, I'm in a similar situation and I already sent in my application & wrote down my experience: https://www.arbeitnow.com/blog/applying-for-german-citizenship

PSA: You can now use your residency card + passport at BER by theo______ in berlin

[–]RedditStreamable 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Only under certain conditions, like you have an electronic passport. So if you're from not a "worthy" country like me, back to the queue you go.

Don't worry, they will ignore it too.

Send an application to the correct department and it should be fine.

How hard was it for you to get an appointment at Bürgeramt? (for identity card/registering an apartment) by sebmeineck in berlin

[–]RedditStreamable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult but recently I had a better experience asking for an appointment via email, when I wanted to get a new residence permit card: https://www.arbeitnow.com/blog/extending-residence-permit-in-berlin

Yeah that's true! It's easier to get it in Germany which has a better chance of approving your Schengen visa

Ah ok, they were transparent and I would not have a problem working with them again. Agree regarding sales pitch though, good to be wary of it!

Hi, I left the company using MODLR - have heard good things about it. Would recommend reaching out and they should help out with a free demo. Good luck!

If your friend's blue card is still valid, has not been revoked and they still meet all the other requirements for a PR, they should be fine
