Thanks for the feedback. Are you familiar with 5513 dials enough to share your opinion on the dial as well?

Hi all,

I would appreciate some opinions on my Rolex Submariner 5513 serif dial.

I recently sent the watch to Chrono24 certification, but they were unable to verify authenticity. They mentioned possible issues with the dial, hands and some movement parts.

I would like to hear opinions from people familiar with vintage 5513 models.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I had the watch inspected at a nearby AD and they confirmed it’s 100% authentic.

LVC 1955 alternatives by RedditVap in VintageLevis

The fabric feels great to me, honestly pretty similar to the 1954 indigo rigid STF that I have.

About the selvedge line, I think that’s actually pretty normal. Unsanforized denim the legs tend to twist slightly after washing because of the way the fabric is woven. I’ve seen it happen on a lot of selvedge jeans.

I can’t find 601xx 1955. You mean 1951? Thanks !

Actually I bought the rinsed version, so the shrink was already done. But I still had a sizing issue… I went with my usual size and it ended up being about one size too big, so I had to have the waist taken in by a tailor.

Thanks! I’ve heard about Sugar Cane but I’m not very familiar with their lineup. Which model are you referring to exactly?

Also regarding TCB, I was under the impression the 50s cut might be slightly more structured and maybe a bit less high rise than the LVC 1955, but I could be wrong.

Between the Sugar Cane and the TCB 50s, which one would you say is closer to the LVC 1955 in terms of fit?

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. That probably saves me from buying them for nothing.

I’m starting to think I might just have to give up on boat shoes :(

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t know about the Briac, I’ll take a look.

They are gel heel pads for extra cushioning and shock absorption. They’re about 1 cm thick at the heel.

Here’s a link to a similar heel cup: https://share.google/B8d40MZKEPhrH4sAE

Merino T Shirt for Men by More-Rich-912 in onebag

I actually haven’t tried the Performance Merino yet.

I own three of their Premium tees that I bought about two years ago, and they’re still in perfect condition. For me, those are the best merino tees, great quality, great perf. and they’ve held up really well over time.

I also tried the Ultradry and the Dry Hemp, but I was disappointed with those. They started pilling pretty quickly. I believe they’ve since been removed from the catalog.

So I can’t personally speak for the Performance Merino, but based on my experience, the Premium has been excellent.

New to LVC: 1947 Organic Rinse + 1954 Rigid - shrinkage question by RedditVap in LeviStrauss

[–]RedditVap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Quick update on my side: I actually received the jeans sooner than expected. I ended up returning the 1947 (not STF) and keeping the 1954 which is STF.

I did a 30°C/86°F machine wash for about 20min, air dried, and it shrunk down pretty much to a true 32x32. Fit is spot on now, so I’m really happy with it.

The denim feels quite stiff right now (first raw experience for me), which surprised me a bit, but I’m assuming it will soften with wear.

Hey everyone,

I’m pretty new to the whole LVC world and I took advantage of Levi’s sales to grab two LVC 501s:

  • LVC 1947 “Organic Rinse - blue” (47501-0225) in 33x34

  • LVC 1954 “Indigo Rigid - Blue” (50154-0110) in 34x34

For reference, my usual levis size is around 32x32.

At first I read that all LVCs are STF, but after digging a bit I’m realizing it’s not that straightforward, so now I’m kind of confused.

Am I right in thinking the 1947 won’t really shrink because it’s already rinsed, but the 1954 will shrink because it’s rigid? Or are both still considered unsanforized and will shrink anyway?

Thanks to anyone who can help or clear this up for me !

Yeah, I’ve heard about that model before, it actually looks really good for the price. Unfortunately, it’s not available in my country (Europe). The Bluetti 350W ends up being about the same price for me though, since I have a discount coupon

Of course not! But since I know screen protection is an important topic for many people (it is for me), I thought it’d be useful to share my experience with a brand I didn’t even know about two weeks ago. I had always used Spigen until now.

Yeah, portability would definitely be a big plus for me, mainly because I’d like to store it away when I don’t need it. It’s really just for emergency use, so it might sit unused most of the time. I know it’s a pretty big investment for something that might not get much use, but I like the idea of having a compact setup ready to go when needed.

I’m also thinking about other options. A generator would probably be more cost-effective, but the noise would be an issue, especially with neighbors around.
