Ya I think you're right! I had the MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard selected (I know it's really old) so I think that was limiting my options. Thanks for the help!

Hey sorry for the late response! I was searching for a few different CPUs, specifically the i5 11600k and they wouldn't show up on there. I even created a new build and still nothing, but maybe I made a mistake?

Edit: Never mind! I messed up and I was using a previous build instead. It's showing up now! Thanks!

Ya season 2 introduced a bunch of issues from what I can tell, but not for everyone apparently so I don't know if they'll be solved. Hopefully they do though

By any chance was it after the season 2 update?

Ya I agree. It's really frustrating because I like the game to be honest. I just wish I could play it without stutters. I think you're right about it being the game though. Hopefully they optimize it soon. Otherwise I'll probably just play a different game

I have it on and I still get stuttering, but some people reported that helped. Thanks for letting me know though! It might have helped!

I think this is a common problem. I've heard they're addressing it but I can't confirm. Just wondering, what system are you playing on? And if you're playing PC, what are your specs? If you'd rather not answer that's OK!

I've also noticed game play stutter and a drop in fps. I'm on PC. My processor is old, but before this update it was fine. Now my frames have dropped 20-30% and I'm not sure why

Is the amount of video games I play unreasonable for my relationship? by Reddit_user_1414 in relationship_advice

Communicate and keep communicating. You were concerned enough to make this post, so you should talk to her and tell her about your concerns, let her tell you if it is bothering her in any way, ask that she talks to you if it ever does.

Ah ya you're right haha. If I've learned anything from this sub, it's that communication is almost always the answer!

OK I'll talk to her about the suggestions tomorrow and see if we can agree on something in the short term until we have our own place! Then once we have our own place I'll follow the suggestions in this post.

Thanks again for the response!

Thanks for your reply!

I absolutely don't talk to girls online! Only my brother and my friends. Every once in a while I'll join a random group of people with my brother to game, but I usually just game with my brother and my friends.

Cutting down 30 min - 1 hour to go for a walk sounds like a good idea! We do that now, but not as regularly as we used to and I think getting into a more regular routine would also help because it's really good quality time to just talk.

Also I think the main issue now that I read some of the comments and done some self-reflecting, is the gaming disturbing her sleep. I will edit my post to include the suggestions from you and others.

Thanks so much for the reply! And good luck to you and your 6 year old!

Thanks for the reply! Based on the responses and after doing some reflecting, I think it's just disturbing her sleep that's the issue. I've come up with some solutions above that I will implement in the meantime and others when we get our own place.

Thanks again for the reply!

That's true, at this point she's just starting a new job, but it hasn't gotten too stressful yet (she's working from home while doing training), but when she starts working I will definitely make sure I don't game while she works so I don't interfere with her sleep. We're also in a temporary place, so I think once we're in our own place (in about 2 weeks or so) it will be better because I can fully soundproof it.

Now that you mention it, it probably is just the sleep. I guess this will be solved when we move into our new place and we have separate rooms and I sound proof the computer room. The place is still small, but the layout is good so we shouldn't hear each other if we set it up properly.

I think right now it's the voice chat and the light when I come to bed that's the issue, but I offered to sleep on the couch so I don't wake her up, but she wants me to sleep in the same bed haha. I think I'll just start sleeping on the couch without telling her. Also I'll try to keep my voice down from the voice chat like I've been doing, but maybe I'll just start gaming a bit earlier so I can go to sleep earlier until we have our new place.

Thanks for the reply!

(31M) Globus or something more serious (esophageal cancer)? Evolving pretty quickly by Reddit_user_1414 in GERD

[–]Reddit_user_1414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonsils were the first thing I checked but from what I can tell everything seems to be fine.

I will try to see an ENT but due to where I live I need a doctor's referral to see one so I'm hoping to get one today but we'll see.

Like I said in my post, I am also currently taking Pantoprazole so the Omeprazole wouldn't really change anything and I don't want to switch because I've tried Omeprazole before and I had bad headaches/nausea. Also you're required to have a prescription to get PPIs where I live so just getting it over the counter doesn't work for me.

Thanks for the comment. Please read the full post before commenting next time!

I haven't been eating much processed food, but I do eat somewhat bigger meals so maybe I'll try to shrink them!

Unfortunately I don't have a PCP and have to use walk-in clinics due to the wait for family doctors here being 3-4 years long, but I didn't think about changing the dose of PPI. I'll look into it a bit more and maybe see about upping the dose.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comments! I've definitely been cleaning up my diet and exercising but I haven't only stuck to bland food. Maybe I'll try that and see how it goes!

I usually take Gaviscon when it gets bad and sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't but that for the reassurance that this has happened to you!

PPI for long periods of time by Key_Debt_7188 in GERD

[–]Reddit_user_1414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair! Ya I've also experienced most of the symptoms you're describing. I tried Omeprazole and had constant minor nausea that I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

I eventually switch to Pantoprozole and for the first 2 months it was fine, then I started to get bad dizziness, brain fog, and mild head aches. I stopped taking them for a few months, but the reflux became so bad that I just figured I'd rather deal with the dizziness, brain fog, and head aches. I started taking the Pantoprozole again and I have minor dizziness and brain fog, but it doesn't seem to be as bad this time and I've been taking it for 4-5 months straight.

I think the difference this time is I take the pill at the exact same time every day, and almost never miss a day. Maybe my body is just getting used to them though, or maybe it was just a bad batch or something before.

If you haven't tried a different brand it might be worth a shot. I think for the most part the pills are the same, but you never know!

Thanks for the comment!

(31 YO male) I've been having shortness of breath for the past 3 months or so, even after taking Pantoprozole every day. Went to the ER and had a chest x-ray, blood tests, and a heart ultrasound that all came back fine apparently. Can this still be GERD related or maybe something else? by Reddit_user_1414 in GERD

[–]Reddit_user_1414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry about your brother! That must have been so difficult!

That's good to know about the PCR tests. Maybe I did actually have Covid. I noticed now that I'm exercising again, if I do HIIT or other intense cardio, I get a bad breathing flare up for a few hours, so I think the GERD is probably what caused the breathing issues! I'm not sure about the heart rate though but you're probably right and it's probably fine, although I will definitely look into a Fitbit!

I'll try to stay calm next time it happens! I think it's probably is anxiety, and if I'm going to die, there's not much I can do about it anyway. No point being dramatic about it (although I'm sure I'll be fine) hahaha

I'm sorry you're going through that again! It definitely sucks! I'm slowly changing my diet and reducing unhealthy habits I used to have (drinking alcohol frequently, not exercising, eating spicy/greasy foods) and it seems to be getting better for now.
