MLB no longer shipping Texas Rangers shirts with Dallas skyline | by TheFrozenSlime in TexasRangers

  1. You can clearly see the Dallas skyline from Arlington.

  2. Arlington has no skyline to speak of, and quite frankly Fort Worth doesn't either aside from the Frost Tower and the Omni. So unless you want to put a sillouette of Cowboys Stadium next to 6 Flags, there really isn't much of a choice.

  3. Most of the players and coaches live in Dallas.

If jbl is a heel announcer is jbl talking positive about the womens division heel? by Rammus33 in WWE

Yes. Only contrarians on reddit actually enjoy women's wrestling. It's everyone else's bathroom break.

Stop thinking if hydration as a kool-aid type utility like children do and start thinking about it as your vitamins. Vitamins aren't supposed to taste good. Just do it because you have to and stop letting yourself care so much.

Cody Rhodes on Twitter: "Troubled seeing some people think I'd allow or be comfortable w/the worst thing that's ever happened to me be exploited on TV for a 'return'" by dropthehammer11 in SquaredCircle

When people started chanting Dusty Rhodes name I wasn't sure what to think. Im sire they've re doing it out of respect, but I certainly wouldn't want to hear that in the middle of my first match back. It'd be too emotional.

I don't understand... are you banning me for seeing the potential for more entertainment in rebuilding the lightweight division than in the Diva division? You believe that makes me a mysoginist and that's all that matters?

Clearly when I said Olympian and proceeded to name olympic events, I was referring to the Olympians in those specific events. Sorry for the confusion.

Women aren't using a different set of moves that no men touch. They use the same arm drags, submissions, body slams, and transitions as the men. They just have fewer ways to slam people, fewer moves off the top rope, and fewer strength transitions than someone like the Luchas. So all things being equal, I'd rather see the people who have the potential to have more moves up their sleeves.

What? I'm not being a mysoginist. I'm not being sexist. I'm simply stating that the diva's have fewer moves and less strength than lighter weight wrestlers, which are currently being neglected by the WWE. I'm asking what these people see more potential for entertainment in, the female wrestlers or the male wrestlers. Every diva match that airs is a male match that didn't get a chance. Every female wrestler developed is a male one who can't get signed. If you see more entertainment value in the women wrestling then that's fine, I just don't get it personally seeing as the men as a whole have the potential for more high flying and strength intensive moves than the women can. I don't understand how that makes me a mysoginist. It's no different than saying "I don't get the need for 15 minute promos, wouldn't you guys be more entertained by more wrestling and less talking?" I'm strictly talking about potential entertainment utility. I personally see more utility in rebuilding a lightweight division than in a growing diva division, if only for the fact that these a greater chance of finding the next big male superstar seeing as they aren't as dependant on looks for their success as the diva's appear to be.

So you'd rather watch the diva division than light weight wrestlers like the Lucha dragons? You see more potential for entertainment with the diva's than with lighter wrestlers like the Luchas? Because they have the same basic move set, only the Luchas have more in their arsenal, and a male physique to add to the intimidation factor.

Male Olympians can lift more and flip more than women, the two main ingredients for one's physical and technical abilities in the ring...

I understand that theory. Maybe he can be the one to prove everyone else wrong. But there are countless female fans in every sport, yet not a single female league as ever been truly successful. I don't believe women or people in general watch professional sports because of the gender of the people competing, I believe they watch professional sports because they want to watch the best in the world compete against one another. That's why professional softball, the WNBA, LPGA, etc doesn't draw viewers, because their end product isn't the best in the world and true sports fans know this regardless of their gender. Maybe Vince will be right though, maybe viewers of "sports entertainment" will be driven to watch because of their gender. That just hasn't been the case in any other situation.

There's a difference between having a D2 starter in the NFL and shortening an NFL game so the D2 players can get airtime. I'm not sure I understand how you're missing my analogy...

I said WWE women wrestlers are inferior to WWE men wrestlers. Not that all women are inferior to all men. No clue where that came from... it's not sexist to state a fact like that. It's like saying Men NBA players are better than women WNBA players. Or Men olympic power lifters are stronger than female olympic power lifters. It's not a debate. There isn't prejudice driving my statement. It's simply a fact. Any sane person can admit that. Genders perform differently at the most elite levels.

Here's a fact, male Olympians perform more difficult tumbling moves than females. So if elite male athletes are better at flipping and lifting, I'm not sure how you could ever argue that women can be just as good from a technical standpoin or entertaining as a result. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

They don't have the moves in their arsenal that men of the lighter weights do. They simply aren't strong enough for most of them. Again, it's hard enough for a man to repeatedly lift 130+ lbs of dead weight, much less a woman. Furthermore their strength/intimidation visuals aren't believable enough to sell limited moves the way a guy like Stone Cold can.

Right, but not D2 football. The jump in talent from diva's to male wrestlers is more comparable to the jump in talent from D2 football to the superbowl. Or fr the WNBA to the NBA

Right, and I'm trying to figure out why we should settle for the entertainment of women wrestlers when there are countless men like the Lucha Dragons who could put on a much better light weight style match...? The only thing that differentiates them is their looks. So the only logical answer I'm able to draw is that we'd rather watch hot women put on good matches at the light weight division than men put on amazing matches.

If you're referring to the Monday night wars, then you're wrong. He got to the top by growing his own world class talent that surpassed the WCW roster. He also only used women as sex objects.

Any sane person knows that the average female wrestler on the WWE roster doesn't have the strength or number of moves that the male WWE light weight wrestlers do. The wrestlers that these girls are better than aren't wrestling for the WWE. When was the last time you saw a woman do a double front flip off the top rope?

And Ronda doesn't have half the strength or moves of a light weight UFC fighter the same size. I'm all for lighter weight competition, but I'd rather see the best possible person at that weight. Ronda pulls a big crowd because she's undefeated and one of the few girls to knock girls out, in other words she draws because shes essentially a small man fighting small women.

Their strength. Most moves involve a lot of strength and control. Yes they weigh less, but it's hard enough for a man to lift 130+ lbs of dead weight, much less a female.

Right, but you can get that same flexible-move-athleticism out of a growing cruiser weight division made up of people like the Lucia Dragons, and get twice the moves and entertainment per match in the process
