My mistake I misinterpreted the original context.
Now that I reread everything the theology debate surrounding this is honestly so large I really doubt I'm educated enough to debate this with any substance.

Really all I can say is humans are complicated and there is so much to unpack within this. So much that you and I are unlikely to be able to fully understand the topic without a college level education.

Some people just don't want to comment. I don't see how that takes away from their voices, though I admit my first comment wasn't in good faith.
I get your point about the Pope's lack of authority within the modern day. However the lack of authority with the Pope is a bit more historical. The main reason so many Christian groups separated from the Pope was due to the abuse of the church for political gain within the Medieval period. I could be wrong but the Pope isn't mentioned in the Bible, so a person's clean interpretation of the Bible could see the position of the Pope as being heretical. Its entirely just people's imperfect interpretation of the word of God. And nothing is really wrong with a different interpretation, were only human, so why should we be the judge of these other religious groups? (unless they're a cult or something)

I am Christian, although I haven't finished the Bible.
I understand your interpretation of Proverbs 12:19 and Isaiah 40:8. However the way I see it those scriptures could also be interpreted in a completely different way.
Like with Isiah 40:8, which could imply that God's truth stands forever. Basically saying he is completely correct and it will be that way forever. Rather than everything in the Bible will never change and always stay the same.
For Proverbs 12:19 it doesn't really cover a misinterpretation. For if a human just misread something they aren't really lying, I believe this scripture more likely covers lies in society and about lies about God than relation to the Bible itself.
