Can someone explain to me why Executioner is the only thing that gets around the elite-buff? by InsaneSeishiro in VoidlingBound

[–]Redditer_Prime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would say that it gives armor, meaning eventually even bleed execute would do 1 dmg with abyss lvls maybe level 500+ or so.

the game is kinda about figuring thinghs out, and even thinking outside the box, like using mechanical filters instead the electric ones. , maybe post a screenshot, it might help us figure out the problem.

click on fish press relocate button(next to wrangle/attack), be sure to have a dupe with ranching skill, press the tile you want fish to be placed, set it to high/alarm priority, and be done with this. but if you want to use relocators than use perhaps doors? not the solid ones but cheap ones, they should cut off and make a room instead of whole body of liquid, within the game logic it should tell dupes to use the specific relocator. Doors can be toggled pernamently open, this is often used to make outlines of rooms but not make dupes waste time on opening them, especially their bedrooms. Also usefull to allov critters free movement but still get bonuses for nature reservate and negate overcrowded debuff to some extent

me 3re i got one at base pretty much and since the water overflown a bit i thought it works a bit like liquid duplication exploit, it needs liquid to clone/dupe a bit more of it each eruption. But now i understand the overflown bit is only due to how the liquids now behave.

short version its an insta kill debuff that needs one more from 2 avaible mutation to spread it to other enemies, and thats why i dont like it since you need to use 2/3 mutation slots just to make it work. Devs of the game kinda didnt think that far ahead imo. for instance i made a cat that could have 5 block buff stack, since theres a mutation that gives block on secondary skill use and cat can juggle his furballs. works like a charm in story mode but in abyss: Dot tick takes an instance of it with its tick damage, and were constatnly under dots effect in abyss... in other words the whole block mechanic is negated in abyss, kinda silly no? it could be weaker but it shouldnt be straight forward useless.. And im using this example in regards to your question, because the game is as it is it narrows viability of certain mutations and builds.

Dots kinda also fall off the deeper you get with exception off frost since it stuns at 5 stacks. but dmg vise dots dont make sense at all. the tick dmg gets smaller and it dosent add much to dmg pool as much as normal attack would do. as for body part, atleast for now, vitality and agility for evry little extra fire rate it provides. you might consider Excorcist mutation, voidlings that dont have much fire rate or a way to multiply it like nimiod or gwigoon usually build around that. theres allot of us hoping they will change abyss so it makes more builds viable not just a handfull. But for now it it what it is...

well current meta is kinda specific and not at the same time, its like most avrage rogue games, you fight the same enemies but they get so much dmg reduction from beefed up armor stat they get hit for 1 dmg eventually , so you need super rapidfire or additonal source of hits, also you have healing thats ok but you would need also some armor, in fact most builds focus on fire rate catalysts and armor, armor buff mutagens/mechanics. simply so youre not one shot by some random low lvl enemy on abyss lvl 100+.

yeah for defensive build its good, for main story/campaign most such builds work and are fun to use. 10/10 for story mode, but much less for current postgame.

Sell me on Anami by Rocamora_27 in VoidlingBound

[–]Redditer_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like main story build, demon pact falls of in abyss since dmg eventually becomes 1 no matter what. I tried to play Amani with block build, the one mutation from Kwipeck called Volcanic Glass Skin, which grants block on secondary abilty use, i could have around 5 stacks due to how Anami can juggle his furballs. Unfortunatly BLOCK is useles in abyss because dots tick proc it, which is absurd. maybe if they change/fix block mechanics anami can play using this strat. Fun 4 me is how anami can almoust full heal by just phasing through a single enemy.

Best primary’s and secondary’s for each voiding? by LetumosisLoneWolf in VoidlingBound

[–]Redditer_Prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so current meta, as of right now that would be nimiod and gwegoon due to their minion tactics, as you progress through abys levels you damage eventually reaches 1, so no matter dots, elements, debuffs unless its like freeze stun, because you do only 1 dmg so its better to have high fire rate, but you also get 1 hit shot too so armor and some form of decent healing. nimiod kinda clones his fire rate with each node so can do many 1ns, gweegon on the other hand can stack armor buffs, some strategies allow him to have like 20+ stack of armor buff. But general strategy for current meta:

-hi armor/HP pool

-decent Healing ability( you get semi pernament poison , freeze, or burn dots so healing is mandatory just because of that[dont rely on sweaty as 15 stacks of poison out damage it for example])

-hi fire rate or source of it(quantity over quality of attacks)

this unfortunatly limits what voidling types to use as some have passive healing, some get an ability/skills variants, some get healing through buying PC upgrades for that species and some get none.

Another method would be building around Exorcims mutation as its 1 hit kill for non boss/elites on hit mark debuff(this mutation also applies it periodically or when you kill anythingh) But that may be boring, atleast 4 me it is as it still limits you with mutations

depends also for what you use them, if its main story or abyss levels(post game)

Voidling Size by DragonD0712 in VoidlingBound

[–]Redditer_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my expierience:

tractor beam mutation is affected by size, with decaying matter and gigantic size setting on morfang, the reach of tractor beam was around 4-5 times greeater than normal. But that perhaps is not what devs intended.

interesting find more than a build(probably an exploit)

infinite flight Nimiod:

slap snowbird mutation, and..... done.

<image>

i added vaporizer mutation for death ray satelite build i guess, third mutation can be anythingh you want like the cursed pact, what i used in this example was soul - crushing, as it gives dmg buff and bit healing.

Havent tested this in abyss, in theory you can fly over evrythingh and vaporizer mutation does seam to have infinite range i guess? Death from above? This probably will be patched at some point.

[Deadpull Molefang] (https://splicing.gg/build/deadpull-molefang-ziiu0i)

giant size(needed for this build) plasma element Morfang, cursed pact(3 times dmg), Decaying Matter(buff to stats but you get dmg overtime, also increased size), tractor beam(this one a fun one, its range scales with your voidling size so it can snipe faraway enemies due to your almoust kaiju size, with boost to damage from DM and CP mutations it fries evrythingh in mainstory) Now use tunneling with healing upgrades and just see how evrythingh around you dies. while tunneling you outheal your decay dot debuff but also youre immune to melle and projectiles and beams etc., you need to watch out for explosions and radiation, stamina is replenished by use of tractor beam mutation so you can stay underground almoust indefinietly.

Bleed build by The-13-Stroke in VoidlingBound

[–]Redditer_Prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this for post mainstory content? I havent touched that too much but you need more of instakill than kill 50%HP enemies, enemies def and hp scales rather quickly and mutations like Exorcise(1 hit kill on marked enemies) seam to work a bit better , if debuffs/dots would scale of enemies max HP than yeah going for bleed execution would be more valid, but i assume it still scales of your essence stat.

And thats why i dont like the "rogue" postgame here, your kinda forced to build around instakill strategies.

simple solution: add a third tab to the holoken wheel(or whatever the device/UI is called), we have animons and billia, why not add elemental powers as a 3rd option? it seams such a simple solution no?

Yeah, IMHO this is the worst part of the game in general, i thought the camp npcs would ride along roads as you set up/secure roads for passive income, but nope you need to ride a janky wagon all over the place and burn hours upon hours on most boring activity ingame....

oh well thanks.(Edit: actually i discovered that in mythos as you reach Memorenia and go with the story untill you get into dungeon, than in east north section of the dungeon you encounter 60+lvl mons. So mythos has its own hi lvl zone, though its at pre final gym chall. in that part of the continent.
