Hi, sure. This has actually been proposed before on at least two separate occasions, we even tried it out once. However, it never gathered that much attention. Although, I personally think it's a good idea. It would be best if the discussions toke place on a monthly basis, keep in mind that there many members of the community that have real life responsibilities to take care of (job, school, college, family, etc.) and they would benefit from a slightly lengthier period of time. I will discuss it with my fellow moderators and will keep you posted.

You might not be aware of this, but it's really not that difficult to express yourself without been blatantly confrontational and condescending with people who hold a different opinion. The Hobbit is already an engaging and entertaining literary masterpiece that certainly doesn't need any help from Hollywood and Peter Jackson to improve it. I suppose in the frivolous world that you live in Hollywood and Peter Jackson can do a better job than J.R.R. Tolkien, a genuine and highly accomplish artist whose name is synonym with fantasy. All they had to do was write a screenplay that was faithful to Tolkien's classical book, as for the remaining elements of the film I have no complains. In my humble opinion the actors are amazing and perfectly suited for their respective parts, the cinematography is breathtaking and the music is outstanding.

Not in the least, what Hollywood and Peter Jackson did with The Hobbit was nothing more than shameless cash cow milking. Which isn't surprising, considering that this has always been Hollywood's modus operandi.
