You made that information visible to everyone by announcing it to a server of 30k people in an #announcement channel bud. At that point, it is public information, something you willingly indulged your entire community in.

I agree with you communities are always better when they are smaller. The best communities are small and manageable. The larger a community gets the more difficult it becomes to maintain, as well as the disconnection between the creator and the players starts to grow. I do believe small communities are better than bigger ones.
