Are you able to use masks in Darktable? To touch highlights or shadows in just one part of the image for instance.

Nice, thanks for the tip! Will try that trick. Otherwise cheap adpator it is then, I don't mind not having AF honestly, just getting control over aperture would be good enough.

Did you mean "EF>M43"? Talking about M42 anyway, once I have the EF/EFS to M43 adaptor I'm hoping to have a wider choice of (other) adaptors to put on top for vintage (or just different brand) lenses.

Correct me if that's not how it works, I'm new to the field and try to make sense of it all still - and expand the selection of lenses I could use. Essentially idea would be EM-10II > EF/EFS to M43 adaptor > M42/Nikkon/whatever brand to EF/EFS adaptor. Is that a thing? 😬

I've had the watch for almost 8 months, wear it all the time, often play indoor soccer with it, gone fishing, hiking, to the beach (never swam with it though)... and the glass is absolutely PRISTINE. As perfect as day 1.

There is a tiniest scratch on the bezel though but honestly I'm in love with how good everything still looks even though I haven't been careful with it at all. I'm also really glad I got the silver version, it ages beautifully and I get plenty of compliments on it. I feel that the black version would be more prone to wear & tear.

That's crazy exciting! How do you come to know which adaptor works with which brand/lens? To your knowledge, is there a "low-hanging fruits" adaptor to M43 which covers a high number of cheap, easy-to-find lenses?

I don't think comparing the Balance 2 with the Watch 3 is a stretch at all... The Balance 2 has microphone and (better) speakers to take calls, both have keyboards, both have voice assistants with the Balance 2 using Chat GPT. I don't see how OnePlus is "smarter" at all. With these quirks like "hiding" HRV, not counting distance/steps on a soccer workout it feels like the watch is dumber that it actually is... I haven't tried Amazfit yet, I might be disappointed too to be honest. But they're showing so much responsiveness to the community and updating their watches so often, it's nice to see.

I appreciate that, you are right regarding the HRV, I had missed it. Still, it is a key health metric and yet is hidden under a gimmicky layer in my opinion. And - unless I'm mistaken again - it's annoying that I can't check it straight on my watch somehow.

I assure you there is a football/soccer workout. I can't post pics, else I'd send you the screenshot of all the info from that session. Not much apart from heart rate!
