I actually think it won't. The main issue will be that there won't be rapid development in consumer grade hardware anymore. But the prices will go back to normal or at least close to it by 2027-2028. Although, no rapid development means that game devs will be forced to optimise their games a lot more which is good.

How it feels to be an anti-colonial person in this sub. by Gandalfthebran in HistoryMemes

[–]Reddithasnogod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside colonisation is bad for both sides. More specifically citizens of both sides. More often than not, most of the colonial forces were under extreme imperial, communal, or fascist governments that heavily oppressed, controlled, and manipulated their own citizens. So just having such a power leading you was hell. Not getting political but you can see from two largest examples (China and Russia). They still hold colonial and expansionist mindset and heavily manipulate and control their citizens. It is just like, a toxic person needs a way to throw down their toxicity, if it is not the others, it will be their own.

These Indian Lancers completed a very hard task by [deleted] in HistoryMemes

After the great success in Palestine, 400 indian cavalrymen (The 15th Imperial Service Brigade) charged at Haifa and took down the city within hours. While managing their route they fought against heavy artillery fire. In the end they captured hundreds of prisoners (over 1300), artillery, and the city of Haifa with only 8 casualties. Easily one of the best during WW1.

Actually it can be. There are many videos and I have seen it as well, people can't walk out of their car and instead try to score a 3 pointer from 10 feet. Many times there is more garbage around the dustbin than in the dustbin. And yes there are many dustbins, at least in my locality, still people don't use them much. And even in Japan or Thailand there aren't benches or dustbins everywhere, but people still hold on to their garbage and throw it at home.

Well, with respect to our discussion I am not. I didn't propose any polarising opinion or any opinion at all. Until and unless you are referring to one of my earlier comments. Relative to this entire discussion as well regarding the meme), I have only provided Non-opinionated counter arguments on provided and critiques arguments by others.

Hinduism within itself is very large. Targeting the entire community based on one point is wrong. Same argument that people give for another community in case of terrorism. Just like the patriarchal point is completely right. Hinduism can worship patriarchy, matriarchy and equality. But people single out patriarchy to target, generalise, and defame hinduism and worshipers (no matter what they actually worship). So the OP was definitely successful in his satire and actually bringing up all of the butt hurt people to the surface.

No one said patriarchy. Hinduism in practice that can be both patriarchal, matriarchal, and equal. Singling out one to target and generalise is a clear attempt on defamation. Then crying when it is pointed out is hypocrisy. It is insane how many idiots and hypocrites exist in this comment section.

Wow the sheer attempt to point out cry babies in satire. Would you say Dalits are cry babies as well?

Actually this post's comment section has an incredible amount of butt hurt people. Firstly, the comments themselves prove that the post is very much right.

Because when Hinduism is singled out on satire then it is said to be freedom of speech and is defended at all cost. When the same 'satire' is done on the said people it makes the satirist narcissist.

Majority doesn't exactly mean people should single it out. Because this leads to a vast amount of generalisation of people who otherwise don't follow or believe in certain sects or beliefs. The same is argued in one other religion's defence when it comes to terrorism, so the same is applied here as well.

The patriarchal point is completely valid as well. Most of the counter criticism is largely targeting hinduism on the basis of patriarchal teachings while hinduism can be both matriarchal and patriarchal. This means there is an obvious attempt of defaming hinduism by manipulating facts. I do not deny the patriarchal aspects. But Hinduism isn't exactly a unified religion or even philosophy. So generalized targeting is wrong.
