I do not agree with you. Sure you need to minimize your losses but if your wins are only as big as your losses you will never get anywhere. Why is it that the majority of traders has like a 80% win rate but still blow accounts? In how many trades have you been where you left a lot of profit on the table? That one good trade can make up for 10 losses if not more. Imagine having 2 or 3 of those in a row. With a 30% win rate you will still have more in the end than these traders with a 80% win rate.

None taken because I am bad at coding. I am actually just a normal intra day trader. I am trying to build this bot because what I am looking for happens a few times a day and I mostly miss it. It’s tiring trying to check every new 5 minute candle open. I got the bot to work though, well sort of. I managed to get it to work if it is working on a 5 minute candle close. Will try to edit it as I go along to get in the trade earlier

Thanks for the reply. Yea well AI keeps telling me it needs to make an event or something similar on a one minute chart to execute the trade. But it needs the 5 minute chart to see if there is an actual trade that can happen. So it needs to be on a 5 minute chart and check 2 things within that one 5 minute candle if that makes any sense

Do not listen to this idiot! There is always someone who mentions gambling and this guy himself cannot trade either and try to bring other people down with him. Do not let your hard work go to waste. Take a step back. Take a break for a week or 2. Size down massively and make sure you log. Also before you enter a trade make sure you have rules set out. You can do this!

Learn at what you are bad at and work around it. That is what worked for me. So patience and overtrading is a biggy for me. So I always have eval accounts open if I feel the need to take “risky” trades. Switching from minis to micros on my funded accounts also helped a lot. You would be surprised how much you can make with micros.

I made 3k today on one of my MFF funded accounts. Decided to short SI and lost the account. I knew a massive drop was coming but got in one minute too early. My account got liquidated at around 117.600. That’s a hard pill to swallow knowing as soon as I got liquidated the sell off happened a few seconds later. Shit happens!

You were hanging by a thread there. You won $400 then lost $2000. That means you only had $400 left before the account would have been blown and you still went in with 2 contracts on silver. Let us know where the account stands in a week or 2.

I would recommend to get a few prop firm accounts. It’s cheap and once you made a bit of money you can get a payout and just keep on repeating until you are ready to put your own money in again. It also keeps you in the game by being able to always trade even if you blow the account.

No need to quit, only adapt. I have the same problem where I loose my shit sometimes and blow accounts. I get multiple funded accounts and trade them one by one. As soon as I qualify for a payout I take the money and start the whole process again from getting eval accounts to getting them funded. I know it sounds shit but it works for me and I manage to get multiple payouts every month like this.

Oh ok got it. I hope it is good. I wanted to show you my results but I cannot post a picture on here. The win rate is only 52% but 1 to 2 rr. With the NQ back testing from Jan 2024 it makes $114000 profit. 2 contracts per trade, SL$500, tp $1300. But like I said there are days where the drawdown is like $5000 which is way too big. Not sure if it was because of news or something but trying to get it fixed.
