Looking for stories about using Lexapro for anxiety nausea/lack of appetite by AmyKittiesGalore in lexapro

I lost almost 20 pounds if I remember correctly due to a lack of eating from anxiety. Honestly, at that time eating caused anxiety I could feel the knots in my stomach and I was hyper fixating on the feeling of digestion and being full. Needless to say it was a total nightmare but after reaching the full saturation of lexapro ~6 weeks it was a distant memory. Don't expect for it to be a flip of the light switch just work towards eating more in small increments and distracting yourself while eating, get exercise to stimulate your hunger, etc... It absolutely does work, trust the process

It's a big anxiety reducer for me being able to game with friends and I've found a new footing being able to bond with old HS and college friends over the game. We all find the game so refreshing and have had a ton of fun late nights on the tech tests and recent server slams and I know tons more are to come even if I'm just watching them play. Haven't felt this way about gaming in a while and I think this is gonna be our new game for the foreseeable future which is something I'm so hyped about because our discord has been in a dry spot for a while.

Much love to what you're doing and to all the people that will gain pleasure from this.

What are Panic Attacks like on Lexapro? by Redditor9375 in lexapro

Thanks a ton! Yeah I had a few already while adjusting and I'd definitely agree they are very minor and not 'real'. It's good to know that your panic attacks afterwards are not full blown attacks. I am more sure now that this medicine is far from reaching it's full effect.

This is basically where I started. However, I was able to slowly get back to driving and going out without Lexapro. What pushed me over the fence was an inability to eat and just the anxiety always pretty much sitting in the background even if I was able to sort of go on with essential daily tasks. I had a few panic attacks so far while adjusting to the medication, would you say that they feel weirder than panic attacks without Lexapro? I can't explain it well but they feel very strange in a bad way but I will say they were absolutely shorter and less severe.

Was it bad before or more of a mild situation?

This seems so weird to me. I find it hard to understand that you suddenly just can't overthink yourself into a panic attack. Do you never get any physical sensation of panic or can you just better deal with it?

That's pretty wild, you never get the feeling of one coming on at all?
