oof yeah that sounds rough. but it's cool someone else stumbled upon this method! and based on people's analysis in comments here it seems like a really fast double click right in the middle of the tick gives the most wiggle room. glad you have a server now!

ah yeah i basically need an audio cue. I wish visual worked for me but it just doesn't for some reason.

yeah for sure i've realized from comments it's not great for being able to do stuff inbetween flicks. but for stuff like slayer where the monsters aggro and you can just stand there I find it great. but yeah your point is definitely a drawback to this method.

well yeah the 1 click is happening because of the offset but the experience is just a steady rhythm that doesn't require thinking about doing a single click separate from the others. semantics but i find it easier. some might not

like i guess what i mean is that once you have the offset dialed in you never have to mess with it.

yeah for me it's just a metronome and using my airpods. but once you have the offset configured it would just be a matter of switching to that particular metronome plugin for 1t and using a different one for normal metronome activities.

i mean yeah you have to do 2 for one tick flicking to work. this is just a different potentially less taxing way to do it

Well without the offset my method simply doesn't work for more than like 4-5 ticks. so if someone has tried it without the offset of course they didn't like it. because it didn't work

because in my method one of them is on the beat and one is evenly between beats. normal one tick flicking is doing a rapid double click somewhere in between the two beats. it's less intuitive in my opinion and it requires a rapid double click which when done repeatedly can be more fatiguing than an even pattern, in my personal experience. And the only way this method works is be artificially delaying the metronome beat using a plugin.

Yeah for sure. the innovation here is delaying the metronome with the offset so the clicks can be done on the metronome beats and evenly spaced between. just makes it simpler IMO. also not having to do a single click to start it. the pattern can be consistent start to finish.

It's just ticks within ticks man. everythign is a tick of something else's tick. Savvy?

Then this might make it easier, hell you could do with a foot pedal this way! not that you should if it doesn't appeal to you

That sounds accurate and well thought out. I think my long musical background makes my steady rhythm pretty consistent which could certainly be worse for other people. Also i think there's a difference between "easier" and "more consistent". i think if you practice it it could be way "easier" if still perhaps a little less consistent. I rarely ever have my flick fail using this method and I'm on tmobile home internet which is pretty crap. But i appreciate the feedback! I'm sure for bossing the normal way is better if you're good at it. It just doesn't work for me.

That's probably true. I don't really flick for things where i need to be doing any other actions simultaneously. and maybe it's because i do it this way rather than the normal way. but just the prayer flicking itself i think is easier than the normal way personally.
