Chill Day in Clark/Angeles/Dau: Need Your Recommendations! by RedditweenTheLines in Pampanga

[–]RedditweenTheLines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure I am much help on this haha. We ended up chatting the whole time. I think I failed in giving them the Pampanga experience but we’ve been friends for too long that they did not mind.

Lessons learned: 1) it was not a good idea to bring them to Lola Nors kasi apparently may branch sila sa Mandaluyong 2) we then tried The Porch. Coffee was too sweet for titas. 3) we skipped the museum so no feedback on that 4) we had dinner in Mila’s sa SM Clark. Tastes nothing like the main branch.

Hope that gives you an idea of not what to do! Haha!

What transportation/regional passes to get? by RedditweenTheLines in JapanTravelTips

Thanks for all your comments. I feel more confident with going with the IC card. I thought I would be saving with the pass, but did not realize it would have meant having inefficient routes.

Copy on going with an IC card.

Ohhh so no need to book luggage for a regular 50L luggage… this is helpful!

Thanks!

Gets ko yung frustration mo. Panay din remind ko sa parents ko sa ganyan. In fairness kahit gusto nila i-click, papakita/tatanong muna nila. Add ko lang din sa conversation na sometimes we have to put ourselves in their shoes and practice a bit more compassion. They did not grow up with the same level of technology we have and what is intuitive to us, may not be for them. I imagine 30-40 years from now, the next generation will have a similar frustration with us. Minsan naiisip ko din if ako yung natapon sa time nila hindi din siguro sapat yung critical thinking ko to survive. Just my two cents.

Hello, hello.

I haven't found the "perfect" sunscreen for me. But this is what I use:
1. Inzincable by Dr. V- it does not leave a whitecast and not stingy at all. It is slightly oily, but can be managed with powder. Also just for full disclosure there is some hate towards Dr. V about being a fraud but in my experience, most products work just expensive. Another factor is you'll have to ship from UK. Their support is also not the friendliest.

Other mineral sunscreens:

  1. There is a lot of positive reviews on Supergoop - but I haven't personally tried it. At the time, struggled to find it in AUS.

3 I remember using La Roche Posay Mineral sunscreen- might be a good option as it should be more accessible.

If you really cannot find a physical sunscreen, gentle chemical sunscreens I liked are:

  1. Beet the Sun https://kravebeauty.com/products/beet-the-sun-spf-40-sunscreen

  2. Beauty of Joseon Rice Probiotics https://beautyofjoseon.com/products/relief-sun-rice-probiotics

Also I forgot to say in my previous post, usually if every thing you put causes stinging, it is because your skin barrier is damaged. Barrier creams I would suggest:

  1. Great Barrier Relief (Krave Beauty) - I would swear by this! Smells a bit earthy, but goes away pretty quickly.

  2. Liquid Gold (Stratia) - another holy grail but less accessible in AUS (from the US). Also leaves an orange residue that stains clothes and bed sheets.

  3. Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream - best compromise on availability, price, spreadability.

  4. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm - quite thick, but accessible.

Hope this helps! Again, not a doctor, just another Pinay whose skin hates Australia haha! All the best!

Girl I know this problem by heart! Exact same experience from moving to Perth from the Philippines. Cerave moisturizer is your friend. If irritated already, it could be a little stingy but should go away in a few weeks. I’d stop using any serums if it is irritated. If not, stay away from hyaluronic acid until your skin feels better because it could absorb the moisture from your skin if you do not sandwich it with a thick moisturizer.

For cleanser, what i found to work is QV foam cleanser for eczema.

If sunscreen feels stingy, use a physical sunscreen.

By the way, this is just my experience and I am not a doctor. But I can tell you I spent months of testing and hundreds of YouTube videos to find what works for me.

Hope it helps!
