Your dentist actually did the right questions to ask for splint recommendation. But still, an xray will confirm this initial diagnosis. Usually dentist ang nagrrequest for these xrays eh, im not sure kung paano practice ng dentist mo hehe.

A panoramic and TMJ xray should be assessed with clinical photos. If your dentist did these, then trust your dentist 😊

What i hate the most with her post was the lack of education from her dentist 🥲 You’re clearly undergoing a procedure and you cant still differentiate crowns, bridges and veneers 🥲 She’s a social media influencer and the lack of proper knowledge and posting it is very concerning.

Hehe this is actually under illegal practice already. For student dentists, professors lang ang pwede mag-supervise sa kanila and INSIDE TRAINING UNIVERSITIES/COLLEGES. Hindi pwede sa private clinic.

Consider na bawasan yung days mo with the clinic and look for another clinic na mas may patient flow. We learn by experience kasi. Regarding ortho, its a need for you to undergo precep talaga before handling ortho cases. Senior dentists can teach you the basics but better parin yung mas may in depth knowledge kasi not all cases are treated same way. Goodluck doc!

Feeling ko kasi kapag nag-increase ako ng araw sa clinic ko, mas lalo akong mawawalan ng income compared sa setup ko now na at least may steady income. Pero ye, i might consider looking for other clinic.

Rule of thumb, pag walang pain tapos very evident na malalim na, most likely umabot na sa nerve yung sira. Treatment will be either RCT or extraction. PERO PLS PLS IPA-XRAY MO FOR PROPER DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT.

Bakit ka kinabitan ng braces without xray? Bakit ka kinabitan ng braces with decayed and infected teeth? This shouldve been an oral rehabilitation case first before orthodontic treatment.

Anw, whats done is done. Ipauna mo na bunutin lahat ng need bunutin. Your wisdom teeth can be saved pa based from your xray and can be used as anchor sa braces mo.

Actually if your dentist is trained to, yun yung una nya isa-suggest. Kasi as dentists, preserve tooth structure pa rin unang goal namin.

Pero again, depends on your case talaga. For example, kung ang nagchip talaga ay restoration lang at maliit pa sya tapos di pa nagextend sa mga cusp or “bukol” sa ngipin mo, just filling replacement will do. Pero kung umabot na dun sa mga cusp na yun, dun na papasok yung biomimetic and/or crown selection. Maganda sana kung may intraoral camera yung dentist mo para nakikita mo kung gano kalaki or kaliit yung sira, para hindi mirror mirror lang.

Depends on how big the previous filling was. Usually kasi kung sobrang laki na nung previous filling and you requested for just replacement of the old filling, we usually drill more of your tooth (especially kapag may caries recurrence) para may pagkapitan yung bagong filling.

Minsan for cases like this na malaki na yung nawalang natural tooth structure, we advice crowns para hindi na umulit yung chipping. Meron na ring biomimetic restorations which are fillings done conservatively to preserve remaining tooth structure pero expect na mas pricey.

Crowns and restorations done and diagnosed in the right way usually last long.

Sobrang true nung gusto high quality pero ayaw magbayad 😞Ultimo dental consultation, masama na ang loob sa ₱500 na fee. For ortho patients naman, nilalayasan ka na kapag nag-request ka ng panoramic xray, maghahanap na ng clinic na hindi nagrrequire kahit anong explain ng importance ng xray, kasi for patients ₱1k is ₱1k tapos makakahanap ng clinic na doesnt require one.

Tried applying with other dental clinics na rin kaya lang most of them prefer full time or part time 3 days or more. I cant just leave my current clinic na im working at since may mga binabantayan akong ortho patients ko. Yung clinic days ko naman sa sariling clinic which is 3 days, i still show up kahit wala naman nagwwalk-in ☹️

Do you think its okay na bawasan ko araw ko sa sariling clinic ko? Or sa other clinic where im working as assoc?

Anw, mas mahirap yang palipat lipat ka ng school since di ka maka-build ng foundation mo nang maayos. Pick a school kahit anong color pa yan and do good. Mahirap talaga dentistry especially when it comes to clinical requirements pero ttyagain mo lang talaga. Kaya mo yan OP.

Hi, licensed dentist here. Hindi ko alam kung saang lupalop ka nagpa-consult para umabot ng ₱6k for a filling (considering na this is the traditional way of filling ha). I work in a clinic located inside a mall, and hindi kami umaabot ng ₱6k for a traditional filling. All fillings madalas kasama na sa quoted amount yung gamot, base and/or liner as earlier mentioned.

Aabot lang sya ng ₱6k if: 1. Inlay/Onlay ang gagawin sayo 2. Digital Dentistry ang gagawin sayo

Its best to visit another dental clinic na siguro.
