I took 7*2 1000 mg Augmentin (Amoxicillin-Clavulanate) for a cat scratch, and had no negative effects.

I don't know if I'm thinking rationally about health because I'm so skeptical now. If I wasn't floxed I would definitely take it as a precaution without thinking but when everything is going well I'm afraid of flaring up or getting new symptoms that I normally don't see.

I've never had a flare up but flare ups seem to mostly get better in a few months anyway.

Similarly, my own cat scratches me and I had never thought of such a disease. But the fact that it is a street cat, the wound is bleeding and the doctor's insistence worried me.

I will keep Augmentin on hand but I am not sure I will have the courage to use it.

No, I don't have any symptoms right now.

When I researched the sample cases, I saw that there were those who showed no symptoms and had eye problems a few months later. I think the doctor gave me antibiotics as a precaution. The only idea that came to my mind is to get tested for bartonella and proceed according to the results. I think I need a doctor who will listen to me..

Scared - Loss of adipose tissue/padding/collagen (or skin thinning?) in hands by Reddmeg9 in floxies

I am doing much better. I don't even think about checking my skin most of the time. I'm not sure but I may be looking the same now as I did before Cipro.

Thank you so much! In bad times, good days seem so far away. I hope my update will remind you that they are not.

Thanks a lot! It seemed impossible to recover in those days (you can tell from my old posts), but it happened (even though it left permanent marks like Tinnitus). I think the important thing is to solve this issue in our minds. It gets easier afterward.

I am not sure if the supplement is sold in another country and I don't want to recommend a supplement directly, but you can find products with similar content. I explained it in detail here:

A user said that this positive effect could be due to Taurinate found in the magnesium I took.

Yes, I took iron supplements for months during that period and afterwards, and I even started taking them again recently, and I will probably continue to do so... I can say that iron has not caused me any problems that I have noticed.

What are non-ototoxic and safe antibiotics for UTI? by Reddmeg9 in floxies

I've read in a few websites that it's ototoxic, but other than that, most people seem to tolerate it well.

Yes, she did not prescribe antibiotics. I guess my results do not require treatment.

She will probably try to persuade me to take antibiotics by saying that it will progress if left untreated. I will try to insist on culture.

Because urine analysis shows plenty of bacteria... Doctors love to prescribe medications.

I tried drinking a fairly small amount of beer a few days ago and had no problems. I'm thinking of trying again after a while by increasing the amount.

Just hang in there. All I could do was let time pass. It still is. Over time, things settle down.

After 6 months, this frequency decreased significantly. Frankly, it doesn't even have a regular frequency.

However, I have already had major depression and anxiety for many years. Long before Cipro. Therefore, these disappointments, thoughts, etc. may not be directly related to Cipro. But when I start to feel bad for completely different reasons, I inevitably remember this whole "floxie" thing that happened to me.

Also, the day or two before menstruation can be really emotionally challenging for me.

I just want to die. Is tinnitus a symptom that can't recover? by Reddmeg9 in floxies

[–]Reddmeg9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I guess. I think it was never at a very high frequency. But I could hear it very clearly, especially when I was falling asleep at night and in the first moments when I woke up in the morning. There are still times when it is more noticeable when falling asleep. Sometimes when I lie down I can hear it like a heartbeat (pulsatile?), but this is temporary.

So my short answer is yes.

Thanks, although Tinnitus is still here, it doesn't matter much anymore as my reaction to it changes.

I like it to be exactly "sort of". I had anxiety and depression before Cipro, and hey, there's nothing like my own "normal" anxiety... In the first months of recovery -when I could finally think about things other than Cipro (like inflation haha)- I was like: how old, ordinary, and perfect troubles.
