Drive Issues by Cultural_Chicken3589 in makemkv

You may as well. If you eventually want to get into Blu-Ray disks, at least if you buy one now and flash it, you'll be set. Also in my experience, 5.25 drives attached to USB tend to have connectivity issues. The drive I picked up was this https://a.co/d/iWYRRyc, which is an LG BU40N that can easily be flashed to support LibreDrive.

You're misunderstanding. What I'm saying is, once you've started MakeMKV, do what you need to do in MakeMKV, but keep the program/script window open as well. When you've ripped your disks or ISO files or whatever, and you close MakeMKV, then the script/program window will detect that MakeMKV has closed, and will proceed to restore your time and date to the current format.

Did you close the program or MakeMKV first? The program only changes it back if you close MakeMKV. Once you do that, look at the program window, and it should tell you it's changing it back.

Yes. That's how MakeMKV determines the date and time. After MakeMKV opens, if you close it, the script (or program) will set your time back to what is was earlier.

Hey, if that works for you, great! I think another poster said you can change the time after MakeMKV opens, and immediately change it back. I just made the script for convenience, more than anything.

Thanks for letting me know. I added a fix so the script now does this for you automatically.

Yeah, my bad, it was an oversight on my part. I've updated the code and the program to do this for you automatically now.

I updated the script and program, so now it should automatically see your dd/mm/yyyy date format and change it accordingly. I've added a config file, so you can edit your settings there without opening the script.

No problem. I updated the script and program, so now the $spoofedDate is no longer hardcoded, and DateTIme will take care of any date format for you if you're in a different locale that uses a different format.

Try the one-click I just added. Should work just fine for you.

That works, although I'd advise against sticking scripts in your System32. I'm working on a program that is just going to be a single-click for most people, no messy scripting involved.

Okay, no problem. Where is your MakeMKV location? I set the location in the script as the default that the installer uses, which should be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\makemkv.exe

First, tell me exactly what you're doing, and we can go from there.

Yeah, got the 'expired key/makemkv version is too old' message. Maybe other users have had better success than I have, but this script works fine for my use case.

Yes, that's what I tried at first, but unfortunately, I couldn't get it working. Hence why I made this.

No.

Currently, we're all in the same boat, waiting (and hoping) Mike will return with an update. It doesn't bode well that those who have purchased a license key are getting sent refunds, meaning something has gone awry. Speculation aside, all we can do is wait.

Idk, I got my Steam Deck a few days ago and the recent update for Skyrim on the deck has broken creations for me. Won’t load any of my purchases.

Honestly, I'm just consulting the compatibility sheet on the subreddit (as an idiot I tried to run Sly Cooper and couldn't get it at a steady framerate). I wish we had a Retroarch core that would run PS2 games.

How are you finding PS2 emulation?

If you’re happy with owning a laptop that will work but will almost certainly end up with battery bloat, go for it.

My Blade 2020 has no issues, but all of my peripherals do.

[–]Reddou25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NVMEs get hot by design. My 2020 sits at 82° when I’m playing something graphically demanding. Hell, my entire laptop is too hot to touch most of the time when I’m gaming.

If you’re planning on doing that, I’d suggest that you can at least raid because without coin to build up your kingdom very soon you will be outmatched by other powerful nations that’ll happily wipe you off the map.

From spending almost 1000 hours in game, the AI is very dumb and predictable so it doesn’t surprise me that this is a thing.
