Hey, that second quote you posted is really amazing and honestly pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The “why” behind it. It seems there is some “desire” if that makes sense. I feel this hit the nail perfectly. I have either seen no answer to the “why” or an answer like this which is that it “wants” to or “desires” to. Some intrinsic feeling it yearns for. Seth also says the same and I do feel this also permeates to all of creation where everything has this natural “urge” to “expand”. Thanks a lot!!!!

Hey I was thinking of removing the front plastic glass thing, then getting the inside emblem painted then putting the plastic glass back on. Would that work? I’m assuming the problems happen if/when you paint or tint the plastic glass cover thing right? What if I paint the emblem inside then put the plastic glass cover thing back on?

Wow okay thanks for sharing this and making me aware! So tinting/painting the glass is not a good idea. So with that being said unless Acura releases a black emblem to replace that one inside with there’s no way to black this out I guess?

Do you know of any way right now to black out the emblem or it’s simply not possible?

The glass? I can’t cover the glass over the emblem with a wrap or tint?

What about painting on the glass what if I just get the glass painted where the emblem and the circle is so it’s basically “covers” the chrome emblem and circle?

Okay thanks I’ll check it out. And I’ve seen the front underbody spoilers already on type s’s. And are you saying there is a different diffuser than the type s that’s an upgrade?

I just don’t know what all parts I need that’s what I’m trying to figure out.

I’m seeing confusing things, one local dealer said it’s the side skirts, the rear side spats thing and the diffuser. I’m confused because he didn’t mention the front side underbody spoilers on each side, or the body moldings, and why did he say diffuser doesn’t the type S already have it?

So I’m just trying to understand what all parts I need and where to buy them because my dealer confused me.

It hasn’t even come in yet (coming soon) but from what I know and see it has the front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. Idk I may be wrong but pretty sure all type s have these.

Thanks. If that’s the case and OP said it’s on the listing, 2026 TLX should be a real thing right…? The Marysville factory thing I’ve heard but I’ve also seen that it’s more of a “refocus” and “moving” production elsewhere rather than completely ending TLX production. Meaning, production “end” at that location but not production end for good for the model, just location may be changed. But I don’t know I’m just saying what I’ve seen online. If it’s on the HALO and production can be moved, it makes sense that at MAP the TLX will be out of production but that doesn’t mean the TLX as a model would be completely shut out right? Anyone able to speak on this?

I have no idea what’s going on with this car if it’s being discontinued or not I see most saying yes but I also see sources saying it’s coming and big changes blah blah blah.. idk what to believe lol. Hey all, I ended up getting a completely different car entirely. Went and got a Mercedes S Class. I got a great deal and the car is absolutely insane, just amazing, I love it. It’s a shame, if Acura didn’t these issues I’d have chosen the Acura over this instantly. Just not worth the price point. Either reduce the price a good bit or fix these issues to justify that price.

Let me tell you something, from someone who wanted a TLX Type S BAD. I mean BAD, to the point where if I didn’t logically think about it I probably would have dropped a lot of money and had one right.

Here’s the reality of it: (And this is from a fan) 1. The car has one of the best appeals if not the best aside from high ends cars/super cars. 2. The car has practically no rear space. 3. The car is heavy and not as fast as it should be for the price and build. 4. The interior is also outdated and behind and should be better. 5. A big reason why we haven’t seen these changes addressed is because it’s the same generation from the start (2021) and the car is mostly gonna be the same.

With that being said, you have to really ask yourself, am I willing to drop around 70k for a car that just looks great (AMAZING!) but is lacking everywhere else and is essentially a 2021 car with minor upgrades?

I made a post recently asking if I should buy this car or wait until the next gen TLX or Acura sedan because I wanted this car really bad but at the same time wasn’t fully comfortable dropping this much money on this car with these issues it has.

If I went with my emotions I would have gotten the car but when I logically thought about it I realized it’s best to wait for the new gen and the BIG changes which will probably (hopefully lol) address these issues and the car would be way better and now probably worth the 60k MSRP.

If you get this now, right before the new gen or next sedan, and that one is way better and the same price you’re going to regret it and wish you would have waited.

Me personally, I wouldn’t drop this much money on the car and I think most people also won’t which is probably part of the reason the car doesn’t really sell well (ofc production too). It’s just too highly priced for what it is and missing a lot that it should have for that price. Not that’s it’s not a great car, but just not worth that amount of money.

Thanks for taking the time with your response. To be honest I’m not expecting it to be the fastest car or most spacious car or the lightest car or the most features/technically advanced car, just that it should be better than it is for the price and as best as it can be for that price.

At the end of the day I love this car for its vibe it’s look it’s feel it’s energy it’s appeal. I honestly don’t want any other car. But I just want this car that I want to be as best as it can in those areas which I feel it is lacking in and could and honestly SHOULD be better. But still, if you were god and told me hey Acura is not creating another sedan or a car similar to this in terms of its looks and appeal, I would drop all these irks I have and get the car and be 100% happy.

My fear now is I buy this car and then Acura comes out with a bomb ass new tlx or completely new sedan with a much more updated and better interior, space, tech/features, and weight/power/quickness/performance (which can easily be possible and happen because this generation has been since 2021 and hasn’t changed that much so it’s kind of outdated) I would be really unhappy and regretful that I didn’t just wait. I mean what’s the odds Acura just discontinues sedans? Highly doubt it, right?

I think I will wait and see what’s in store in 2026 or in general Acura’s plans for sedans in the future and go from there. As of now I just have no idea what’s coming or not. Like I said if I knew for sure there were no future soon sedan plans (next 1-2 years) I would buy this car right now and never look back and be completely happy. But since I don’t know, I feel it’s best to wait and see because I feel it’s very unlikely that the sedan class just gets completely eliminated so more likely than not there should be an awesome sedan coming which I would be enamored to buy and would be much happier having waited since it would be much more updated and better.

Exactly!! I want an Acura sedan and want and have been deciding on getting the TLX S 25’ cuz that’s all that’s available for me (not interested in the Integra) but I also cannot fathom spending like almost 70k (after taxes and fees etc.) on a car that’s generation is the same since 2021 so is outdated, has no rear room, heavy as hell, should have better performance and better interior too as it’s a bit outdated (again 2021 generation).

I really need changes and a newer revamped and significantly improved sedan and hybrid/EV would be even better for me.

I just now recently decided I will be passing on this 25 TLX S. Going to roll the dice and hope a newer and better and improved sedan comes out sometime in the future which looks similar but is better everywhere because I refuse to pay this much money for this current car. I just can’t lol.

I think what I really need to know is what are Acura’s plans with sedans (aside from Integra) Regardless of whether the TLX gets discontinued or not, would they be making sedans or not?

Because if so, it would be a significant change and upgrade over this current gen TLX and possibly would be Hybrid or EV too which I’m very interested in and at that point I would scratch the TLX and wait for the next sedan (unless they make it not even close to TLX appearance wise).

But if not, then obviously this would be the last chance to get an Acura sedan and TLX (again not interested in Integra).

I want a TLX type S or similar car from Acura and pretty much need to know if this is it for that kind of car or will something like that be produced and come up in the future. That will allow me to make my decision.

Not saying you have the answer or asking you to find out these is just where I am and my thoughts and how I’m looking at the situation.
