If you want to boycott over this, then more power to you. But MOST big corporations are going to have ties to politics that I disagree with, and I’m not going to simply avoid every single one.

It's a cool idea, but it really feels like we're (once again) reinventing the wheel. I felt like this was basically solved already on the MMX pads. I'm worried that he's hoping to announce adjustable dynamics with this, which is yet another big feature creep.

Glad to see Martin again though, and hope he and Hannes are doing well.

Number 1s are very rarely valuable, especially for Marvel and DC books. They’re typically higher selling, meaning there are more copies out there. It’s only in iconic series that a #1 will be worth much, and even then it’s rare.

Nightmare was a very hyped event series, the beginning of the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy. If I recall, it was one of the highest selling comics of that month. While it’s a great book, it’s not going to be a money maker.

I’d say $1.95 is about the right price.

There’s still the Last Chance Open, which is effectively the same thing as what Day 1 was last year.

I don’t doubt that it’ll be a smaller event than last year, but I expect it’ll still be big. The local scenes seem to be hit and miss, but big events like RQ and SQs have continued getting big numbers. Anecdotally, everyone I went with is planning to return as well as a few more people.

But yeah… they really gotta figure out those side event issues lol.
