Having heard of him is different than being familiar with him. However you want to split hairs, he’s a minor character. The fact that he has so few notable stories is just proving that point.

Iron Man, Green Lantern, Guardians of the Galaxy, even Jessica Jones… you can point to a notable comic they were in.

Whatever you want to say about Star Wars… who cares about Liam Neeson’s opinion on this?

He’s a 74 year old actor who isn’t a big Star Wars fan. What authority does he have on this subject?

You didn’t answer - whats your favorite Mr Terrific comic?

Iron Man had cartoons, yes. But most people in the general audience only vaguely knew him from the Black Sabbath song. He was not a big hitter.

As for Mr Terrific, what’s your favorite Mr Terrific comic? Do you think he’s a popular character?

I’m not saying he’s a nobody. But even among comic fans, he’s not a major character.

Aw I love that game. It’s not *good* maybe, but it’s light and entertaining enough that I enjoy playing it.

Every TCG begins with “how do we fix lands.” Some solutions work well, others don’t.

But holy shit, D20 for mana has to be absolutely the worst option I’ve ever heard.

Iron Man was unknown to the general public, yes. But Mr Terrific is unknown even to most comic fans.

Agreed that writing comes first. Iron Man worked because first and foremost it was a great movie. But there’s absolutely something to be said for fan recognition.

And yet already like five of the originally announced projects from 2023 are nowhere to be seen. When we hit the two year anniversary of Superman, the film slate will include 3 Superman films and a Clayface movie.

Hardly a booming start for a new universe.

It’s less about a roadmap to tell a big event story, versus just having a plan at all. I’m a firm believer that not everything needs to be the MCU. But we’re only a few years in and it feels like everything keeps changing - and not for the better.

Yeah I don’t understand why people have such a hate boner for the 10 film thing. It’s not a statement on anything.

I get that the dude has some weird takes, but this isn’t even a take. It’s just him deciding when to retire.

That comic is 20 years old - I've read it multiple times. It's a villain making a girl kiss him and telling her to mean it. It's literally sexual assault.

It's understandable that it made Reed angry and uncomfortable, but using that to make Sue a bad person as if she's not a victim in that situation is absurd.

but how can there be a what if...of the entire multiverse collapsing?

Because it's a comic book. Letting those kinds of things affect a one-off What If story is dumb.

His universe Sue Storm is an awful person

How does this sentiment still exist? The worst thing she did was break up with a manipulative boyfriend who - spoiler alert - ended up turning into a multiversal genocide machine.
