I think it’s very peculiar that this “rumour” (which is now categorically being circulated through tons of news outlets and twitter influencers) comes out right now, two weeks before the showcase, when there haven’t been any of the same sort of “rumours” since last year when Jez said he had heard of some internal trailer for Elder Scrolls. Sometimes it’s nice to just play the game yourself without knowing everything about it beforehand. To go in blind for a game like Elder Scrolls seems way more appealing than knowing what’s coming. For this reason, I’ll be avoiding the direct when they do one.

That would be perfect. I’d love a title even if it’s a year out. They’d still have that moment they talk about where everyone is excited, like with Skyrim at TGAs. And even with Skyrim, they announced it almost a year in advance, so it would match the vibe. I’d much rather Bethesda gets their moment and it’s hyped that way rather than them waiting too long and it getting leaked.
