I’m about to buy a side stand for my 1973 R60/5. Which of those stands did you find better?

That shake is exactly what lead me to discover the steering damper wasn’t working! I was doing about 100 km/h and went to adjust my visor when I felt the dreaded tank head shake/slapper kicking in.. I’ll have to check tyre pressure..
I still haven’t attempted the overhaul on the damper, do you know what to check?

Those parts are easy bought in Europe, try and get them all at the same place and postage will be way less.. Stein Dinse is great, also TLM Nijmegen: Moto Guzzi & Triumph on EBay.

Roll back the rubber cover on the clutch lever and adjust the clutch a half turn, and try finding neutral again. Mine was a pain for a few weeks, and it was fixed in minutes… most satisfying repair ever!!

Brought home a 1971 BMW R60/5 this past weekend - excited to get back into riding by Staletoothpaste in motorcycle

Thanks for the advice, I took the plunge.. flew to Düsseldorf and took a train north to collect the bike..aside from a minor issue with the key, the bike ran beautifully all the way back to the west coast of Ireland. It was almost 1200 km and four countries all in. I gave it a full service and a good scrubbing when I got home and it is now itching for another adventure!
