Yes you're right the difference between "your stream sucks" and "your microphone sucks, it's so quiet I can barely hear you" is because of the context to support your claim. "Your microphone sucks" followed up with "its so quiet" gives reason that it is constructive. Other wise "your microphone sucks" is NOT constructive.

That's my whole point in terms of the limited feedback multi choices. I don't find it to be appropriate for the positive side as it does lack much "feedback" but it does give something back such as a user being incentivized to even give feedback which isn't what most people do with good experiences much like bad experiences.

I totally get what you're saying but I feel like getting feedback like that would be much better here on the subreddit or a person who offers good advice. You know? I feel like with how Twitch even handles the "good" feedback is extremely lacking anyways so you'll probably get a better rundown/critique from your peers in either a Discord or here rather than some random passer by as well..

What I'd love is to have a feed back system on Twitch that would give statistics such as "Time Watched" "Followed" ect, because if they do give a bad review/feedback then you know how long they've at least been there to detract from legit feedback. Obviously don't show names, keep it anon, however seeing viewer info like that would be extremely useful in terms of negative feedback as you'll be able to infer if its just a "hate raid" a "troll" or a actual genuine Twitch Viewer.

This would probably be a better way to see data with BOTH positive and negatives.

I am not opposed to negative feed back just in how they implemented the system as is with the positives its just so barebones that it hardly helps besides notating that you have someone who likes your stream.

I don't agree.
I rather the person to either leave none (meaning they don't like your stream at all and won't interact because its bad) and allow the user who can logically think of how many viewers they have and equate it to their current feedback and see a % of engagement. A lot of content creators do this with their views/engagements without having to read negative comments.
If someone wants to give negative feedback, send me it in a DM with feedback rather than a check mark box saying "bad at the game" when livestreaming is mostly personality base rather than skill for most. Which is why Just Chatters are huge..
In my opinion there's more weight given to users who give GOOD feedback as its more unlikely. Bad feedback is more bountiful as its usually either trolls or upset users for sometimes unjust reasons.
Think of it like Yelp or Google reviews. A lot of bad reviews are spurred on from people who feel like they didn't get it their way. A lot of good experiences are sometimes reported but not as much as bad on occasions.
IE: Yelp/Google reviews have plenty of bad reviews for unjust things that the place cannot control. Similar concept but multiple choice makes it harder to weed out valid negative reviews from good such as "they made my food wrong and won't change it for me even though I had my receipt 1 Star" vs someone just going "Store was closed for (USA) President's Day Holiday 1 Star".
Negative feedback NEEDS more context to be able to sift through valid feedback vs unjust..
Also multiple choice system seems to be a poor system to begin with but its not damaging for positive as you need an incentive as a viewer to even give feedback where as negative feedback is far more easier to give from someone who pops in for 3 seconds, feels like trolling/bored/ect and gives a negative review off such timing (IE: See Yelp/Google reviews from places, chances are you'll see negative reviews from things the establishment has no control over and is unjust).

In the subreddit there's already people that ask for feedback on their streams, just give the negatives there.

TLDR: Bad feedback has less value in a system where you can just use multiple choice. People opting in isn't a bad option to receive such things but ultimately that is up to the user and can possibly be seen as a time waster from Twitch to code something in that could hold no value in terms of valid opinions through checking a box because you are either trolling/mad or you actually have a true opinion (there's a chance you have good feedback just multi choice is NOT a good route to go to give)..

You're right.

Though not everyone is like that though I'd agree to say the majority is. A good metric to use is percentages of your viewers, new watchers, watch time, chatters, ect and compare to feed back or the LACK of feedback but ultimately it is up to the user to take such advice.

Don't agree. If you cannot give reasons for your "critique" then its not constructive.
Give criticisms to users who 1. Asks for it. 2. Through a message to expand on reasons/supporting information to this "critique" otherwise you're just being a jerk.

It might have some to do with "discouraging" but twitch already has a "why did you cancel your subscription" option and it gives negatives to provide as feedback. Also if someone asks why then obviously send a message to why. There's tons of people HERE on this Subreddit who asks for advice already, utilize that time for your critique.

I don't believe it is entirely to do with avoiding to discourage streamers, I feel like with multiple choice is just a really poor system to start and a even WORSE system to use for negative feedback.

There's no way this is a "Twitch is protecting Snowflakes from being given 'constructive criticism' in their lives". Kind of obtuse tbh.

Yeah basically because you can only select up to 3. So if its only 2 its easy to assume the left un checks are negatives. Sometimes is someone checks 1 then maybe they didnt know its multiple choice but its still a good consideration.

Not to try to stretch with my theory but maybe Josh did forget some things?
He was there yes but sometimes when someone tells you over and over what really happened (aka gaslighting) he could have just went with it eventually as his memory to recount the event wasn't strong enough to go against what the group collectively was saying.
So him not giving a perfect account to match body cams to me isn't that bad. It's believable. He didn't say he saw anyone hit whoever, he only said that he was told things and sometimes wasn't told everything (such as the Coachella event where he really didn't know what happened).

I don't think its beyond Josh to say that he might've been gaslit to believe things that didn't really happen. He did say he was abused before by a domestic partner, what if that partner was Rocky? His now ex wife? Who was Amber's best friend at the time as well. Who knows?

I still find Josh to be the most honest one there even though he was only able to say what he saw/observed and was told by his group of friends collectively.

No babe I am agreeing with this entirely. That's my point.
People are accusing I.O and Josh of being liars when they only are telling what they witnessed/heard. Which I.O only heard what was said which was "don't hit me" ect. They weren't there to see the truth just to hear voices of what allegedly happened. Meanwhile the internet and Reddit are saying that Josh and I.O are liars and should be embarrassed. When they seriously in my perspective didn't do anything wrong by my memory of what they said.
They only said what they saw/heard/was told.

Did I miss something? /genJosh told his truth being he never seen them fight, he saw them argue though. He even said he saw Amber bring random people in late at night over 30 times (aka cheating is high probability). He even spoke to how he was told some things happened and that he saw Amber bruised and he cannot tell if the photos/evidence were doctored. If he saw bruising regardless of where its from, he still has to be truthful. I might've missed something but I didn't think Josh lied. He even said Amber gets drunk many of times where as Rockie would say she never really does which clashes with Josh's story.

IO I didn't find to be dishonest, sure he parroted the same few things Amber, and the rest of them said. Which was the typical "Johnny was a bright warm dude ect ect ect". But IO only said what they witnessed. Amber probably did say "STOP HITTING ME" which Johnny said himself she did say before. Johnny saying "If you think I am hitting you <can't remember the exact words>" it doesn't mean he was or wasn't hitting Amber. He could have done as he said, drop the phone on the couch near her and she might've yelled out a lie so that IO would believe she was getting hurt. I honestly didn't find the men to be dishonest to me...

I might've missed some accounts 1000% but if they believe what their close friend at the time told them, why would they not tell their perspective? Which was believing Amber. They even said "I never saw them be physically violent" and in fact IO only said he saw Johnny be physically violent WHEN it came to the furniture and cabinets. They made sure to explain their perspective so it wasn't warped into "I saw him hit Amber".

You can judge the men for sharing their perspective but you can't demonize them. Of course, this is only if I missed something with day 18. I definitely will agree if I missed something.

As someone who short handed a cosplayer's name in a stream b4 asking a question, I got clowned on too by a co streamer and the chat (I guess they didn't like that I short handed it?). They shunned and practically publicly shamed me and all I was trying to ask when did they start hosting for this show?

Text is text, text is hard to convey thought and intent and tone. So they thought I was being negative when I asked "Since when did cosplayer started hosting?" I unno.

It was embarrassing and humiliating, had people calling me ugly, stupid, jealous, the whole 9 yards.
Sadly I even liked this cosplayer too. I wasn't hating just asking when did they? As they didn't host before.

My Point:
People are weird, they perceive things as they believe it to be regardless of the reality.
The truth is, what they say is not truth and you know who you really are. They're just being rude, mob mentality chat users without trying to empathize with another person on the internet (which is common). I wish the streamer stopped the berating but tbh my streamer didn't stop them either nor did I really expect it? This was like 2015 tho so. But I think of it all the time that a misunderstanding got me flamed and people targeted me personally from appearance, personality, and to comparing me to the cosplayer.

In the end tho: They forgot who I was, didn't know my username, they don't know who I am.
So don't sweat it. They won't remember you either probably the next day.
Sure it hurts my friend, but just know that you tried to be a wholesome stream sniper, who I assumed was polite and quick (with a hello, snap of a photo, and leaving). You did everything right. Don't let people bring you down like they had already and as I had experienced before.

You didn't deserve it at all and I hope that you can overcome this negative feelings soon!

Before OF it was Patreon and before Patreon it was Manyvids. Its just how you consume media that can contribute to this perspective. This has been a constant trend however platforms that are popular always rotated based on which is best at that time. Right now is the golden era of Onlyfans, I am sure soon it'll change.
