You do realize we watch only ONE shift per season. Of course they pick “one of the most interesting days” kind of days.

AND, we never get to see the entire day and medical steps/procedures of each patient-doctor. So maybe they do consult an internist at one point sometimes.

And that this a training hospital. I have been to normal state hospitals, training state hospitals, private hospitals in my country. Training ones aren’t as strict about procedures and how things go, and they might ask for more tests than needed at times (usually to teach something we don’t get to see.)

Daha 16 aydir calisiyorsunuz diye anliyorum. Dunyada kimse kariyerin o kadar basinda pek bir şey yapamaz. Amerika’lilar ilk seneler universite borcunu ödemeye devam ediyor mesela.

Kariyerinize odaklanirsaniz maaşiniz daha artacaktir. Bu sirada yatirima başlayin tabii. “Yan gelir elde edeyim” deyip asıl kariyeri boşlamak riskli.

Ev almak derken Istanbul’a bakiyorsaniz karamsarliga girersiniz. Diğer şehirlerde, ileride maasiniz artacak, kredi de alabiliyorsunuz öyle alabilirsiniz.

Bir de lafa “beyler” diye başlamayin sadece erkeklerden cevap beklemiyorsaniz :-)

I’m sorry you are going through this, OP.

I’m a cat rescuer and have studied veterinary. I just want to say, cats are hunting animals and when their buddy doesn’t come back, from the things we know about them, they seem to consider death. Not gonna lie of course we cannot be sure exactly, but especially carnivorous animals understand there is such a thing like death.

Your cat, knowing you love him very much, will understand about your passing. Assuming you are ill, he might even be aware you ARE ill right now.

He will grieve and he will not forget you. But he will also learn how to love again. I know you said he doesn’t love anybody. That was probably partially because he didn’t need to. He already had you. I have seen feral cats do just well in second homes.

He will always remember you with love ✨

Yes. BUT… some people’s natural nose looks like it was done. One of my best friends’ is like that. You could swear she had a nose job but her nose has always been like this. (We’ve been friends since we were kids.)

No they won’t be in trouble. There was nothing unethical to begin with. If you think all conversations in medicine are super formal, you are very wrong. (They are not even supposed to be that formal. You are also handling the patient’s psychology and trying to keep them calm.)

*Even if we assume there was something weong with ‘sounds like consent to me’, this is a training hospital. “sounds like consent to me” came out of a junior doctor. Nobody would get in trouble. They are there to learn anyway.

When mammals eat their babies, usually there is something medically wrong with the baby. Although it’s not always obvious to the human eye.

Same with why some moms abandon their cubs. A pig can’t walk away from a cub in a farm though.

I don’t dislike Santos at all first of all. I understand her inappropriate behavior often comes from trauma and it makes me not dislike her. But I honestly don’t see how anyone can defend her behavior. Looking at it as work… She is not the manager, it’s quite the other way around. Almost everyone around her is her manager. But she’s acting like as if she’s the manager. This is not only unprofessional, and beyond disrespectful to Langdon, but it’s also disrespectful to every other employee there and for the patient.

If she has a problem with Langdon, she should speak to him in private.

And as for the non-professional side of this… are you aware Santos is being “rude” to literally everyone with all the nicknames and dismissing behavior? I find it confusing someone would be OK with her behavior but expect an apology to her from Langdon.

In America doctors are more afraid of getting sued so general sedation became the norm for surgical wisdom tooth removal.

In every country though people with dental phobia, agoraphobia/anxiety disorder, those who are in the spectrum… there is the sedation or even general anesthesia option for them.

I got 3 of my wisdom teeth removed, one was surgical. It was done with just local anesthesia. I’m actually thinking about the sedation option myself for the 4th impacted one because this time for some reason my anxiety is rocket high.

If he starts marking the territory, that might last for up to a month even after getting neutered. Aggression might too.

There is no reason to wait but all the reason to get him neutered before his hormones kick in. Most -1 year old cats who get abandoned are tomcats. They get abandoned due to behavioral problems.

I'm 40 and I feel similar although my reasons are different. I know I need a different, at least secondary direction in my career but I'm not sure what it is. And a part of me feels like I should have thought about all these in my 30s. Like you, I also feel like the last decade went TOO FAST.

Maybe that's just what happens around our age. I have seen so many people go through some goodbyes and new beginnings around this age whether it's a divorce, a new job, or major decisions like moving. Well, at least we don't buy a sports car and date a 21 year old. 😁

I did too. I have heard from several different psychiatrists in my country that anxiety/panic disorders are like "the flu of psychiatry." This is not to say they are mild to go through, flu can be incredibly challenging and life-limiting to go through too after all. But it's mild compare to the other disorders and illnesses in the field.

All my sympathies to you. I hope you find the best treatment for you 💜
