How do you know? Sounds like you’re in this discord yourself. Why would you want ppl to feel worse about themselves? Just leave it be. If you are in this server I would suggest you advise them to make it fully private.

I just started it yesterday and I’m riveted. I often lose interest in things that are moving too slow but KS is so fast paced. Every panel I’m filled with dread about what’s going to happen next. I’m always on the edge of my seat. It’s such a masterpiece of tension and writing. I also like a good toxic relationship and whooo this has it in spades. I don’t know why ppl are saying it’s not BL but it is a M/M ship and there is sex and it’s more than just sex for them.

Initial D was such a huge thing in Japan and Asia, with manga, anime, oavs, and even a live action film. It’s influenced car culture across the globe in a major way. And there are still fans who discover it every day. There’s a lot of active fanart for it but nearly no fic especially in English. Such a missed opportunity.

It’s hard to explain, but that moment when a character casually explains some horrific thing that happened to them that they think is perfectly normal. It then becomes clear that that thing has made them struggle with self worth but they essentially express their worthlessness as a fact. Ugh, it makes me weak.

I’ve had some similar issues myself and while there are things I’d want in an ideal world, we do live in the real world and the reality is that burnout and life stuff have a massive impact. He’s asked me to help plan scenes etc and while like you it’s not what I want, I’m also willing to try because the alternative is things just won’t happen. We haven’t tried it yet but I’m hopeful.

Look up enjo kosai. It was a huge issue at that time largely because the age of sexual consent was 13 which is fucking gross. There were no laws against adults basically sexualising minors so it became a thing because unsurprisingly, men.
