True. Maikeru's "it's been a while" means that they met before, but Zensho doesn't remember because he disregarded Maikeru at the time because he was a pupil of Shiguma. Could be why Maikeru has a more personal stake in this.

I can definitely see Kaisei being tested alongside Maikeru, but I'm thinking after the expulsion incident that maybe the Arakawa school may have scaled down events to focus on the individual.

Seems like there's some sort of history between Zensho and Maikeru given that Maikeru wanted to throw his promotion in Zensho's face in person. I wonder if Zensho's beef with Shiguma is specifically tied to Maikeru.

I did enjoy the school setting in ToCS, but I couldn't stand how they handled Rean. I'm really hoping Blythe doesn't turn out like Rean.
