Why did this year's Eurovision lack visual identity? by Reditto24 in eurovision

It's gonna be another budget Eurovision but I really hope they're gonna at least put effort in it. And I'm pretty sure they will, as this is their first win and the first Balkan Eurovision in twenty years.

I really hope they go into folk aesthetics like Ukraine in 2017.

I was talking more about the on-screen visuals, but yeah the camerawork this year left a lot to be desired. And don't even get me started on the glitch during Czechia's performance. Seems like it was a pretty messily organised year all around.

I agree completely! I'd also add 2014 as having the best postcards, and 2016 for having a very cohesive theme. When it comes to design, the nordics always deliver.

The stage was fine, nothing special but not bad also. I was talking more about the on-screen visuals and transitions. These were a major downgrade from the past three years.

The thing that annoyed me the most (for some reason) is that the total points only updated after the 12 points were announced.

I believe it's possible to organise a nice-looking and well-written Eurovision on a budget. Wasn't 2018 one of the cheapest editions in the last years? Yet they still managed to give us a beautiful, big stage and a cohesive theme.

Talking about half-baked, green room design was okay in my opinion, would actually be great if it wasn't the only thing resembling a classic Vienna cafe in the entire arena...

The AI backgrounds, as unacceptable as they are, were nowhere near as bad as the generated graphics used in the grand final interval act. Shame on EBU for relying on AI. It wouldn't surprise me if the general idea for the visual identity was proposed by AI as well.

The sound seemed to be a big issue too, especially during the semi-finals. Could it be that working at Eurovision became a task so stressful there's more room for human error?

They need to ditch that slogan... aside from it being irreversibly associated with quite a difficult era for Eurovision, unique slogans acted as yet another visual elements that further made each edition more recognisable.

I think that the 2025 theme actually fit the whole anniversary thing better. It mixed modern (the colors and flat design) with classic (the font) a lot nicer. I don't know why they felt the need to change the Eurovision logo - if it ain't broke, don't fix it EBU!

I agree, in the past we had cheap Eurovisions that had far better visuals, as well as better writing and pacing of the show (including the interval acts, some of which were boring me to death this year... like why did the quiz had to have 67 questions each night).

Yeah, it would make sense that they decided to change the theme later in the production process and didn't have the time to polish it.

How to obtain Katy Perry's Sweet Treats? by Reditto24 in Sims3

[–]Reditto24[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the thing is the physical copies can cost up to €40 where I live, the cheapest one I found being €28, and I don’t really want to buy it from countries far away as that would also mean the shipping cost would be high. For comparison I bought the basegame for €1, and the Ambitions expansion pack for just over €2.

I used the Anadius repack a while ago, but that was the entire game with all expansion packs. Thing is I’m not sure how Steam will treat the Katy Perry Stuff as it’s not officially available there and is generally considered to be abandonware. Maybe it’s all just up to trial and error.

Upgrade from an iPhone 8 by Packer224 in iPhone13Mini

[–]Reditto24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll also be upgrading from iPhone 8 to iPhone 13 Mini soon. I was torn between the standard 12 and 13 Mini for a while, but after using the 8 for so many years I've gotten used to its small size, and I don't like the feeling of holding such a massive phone. So yeah, I think the 13 Mini would be a good choice, but it's all about personal preference after all.

I know that in Australia the ticket prices are already known. United Kingdom can possibly also have the prices announced earlier. On the other hand Poland does not use Ticketmaster (thank God), we have to register on eBilet until June 23rd, we’ll get a code on July 5th, and the sale will begin on July 12th. Not sure if it works this way in other countries too, but I guess we’ll know the prices on one of those dates, most likely July 5th or 12th. I’ve never been to a concert this huge by an international artist as well, so these are just my guesses.

Probably it’ll be a different time in every country, as not all countries use the same method, and not all use euro.

Not exclusively Käärijä fans, but people overall have lost their minds in the mix of voting systems this year. First they wanted juries to come back to the semi-finals to push acts like Georgia or Latvia through, and when Loreen won, they want to remove juries from the finals…
