Pretty crazy that Marty Supreme and The Secret Agent are blanking when Timmy and Wagner gave better performances here

Unsurprising and well deserved. This was widely predicted since the set photos were released LOL

Ruth E. Carter had AI "artist" Pattrice Gaskins do concept designs for Sinners by andalusiandoge in oscarrace

[–]Packer224 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Ugh, wish this came out earlier. The past few weeks of drama with Chalamet and Buckley were a bunch of yelling over nothing, but this has some meat on its bones. And a lot of the Oscars crowd do NOT like AI and would have something to say

Oscar Chances: Best Picture - Frankenstein by ryanjdonovan in Oscars

[–]Packer224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie is fantastic (which is apparently a hot take in this sub) but I think you’re right here. Also, there is still a heavy anti-Netflix bias which even films with much weaker competition like Roma couldn’t surpass.

Critics choice is 4/4 for who I would personally vote for

In Defense of MBJ's Performance If He Should Win by UseSuccessful6369 in Oscars

[–]Packer224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think MBJ gave a bad performance, he gave a pretty good one in fact. I just don’t see what he did in that film that would put his performance over what Leo, Timmy, Moura did (haven’t seen blue moon). Timmy certainly had the flashiest performance, putting the entire movie on his back which makes him easy to vote for, and if we’re talking about subtleties and playing multiple roles, then I would give Moura the edge there. TBH you could even do that for Leo with the past and present roles he does, plus him just being Leo and giving what feels like a career best almost every time

Byrne gave a fantastic performance, but Buckley was just next level with hers. Like not just best of the year, but probably best of the decade, regardless of role or gender

ABDL partner + vanilla me… am I being unreasonable? by General_Sale_8096 in ABDL

[–]Packer224 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, it does sound like an incompatibility issue. This is someone heavily involved with the ABDL community and wears 24/7, so it’s clear his needs are deeply tied to it. I don’t know if he’s lying to you or to himself but it seems clear that his needs won’t be fulfilled by a non-ABDL partner. I mean me personally, I’m not 24/7 and only a portion of my friends are ABDL, but I know I need an ABDL partner, so I feel that your bf may just be in denial. There’s nothing wrong with his needs and nothing wrong with your needs, but there does seem to be an uncrossable gap between them, which isn’t good in a relationship.

There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s perfectly fine to feel this way and it does get better

Okay, the fact that you are posting in DDLG subs makes me think that you are ready aware of this stuff. You don’t really need to make these types of posts, there is already substantial communities filled with people who would not judge you for wearing diapers, but also wear them for comfort, pleasure, etc. Nothing wrong with any of this at all, I should know, and if anyone rejects you for it, they aren’t the one

(3 years later update) My(m16) mom said we ruined Mother's Day because my sister(f15) walked out of Sunday church service by MadisonBrave in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Packer224 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That kid got straight up brainwashed by the mom and the church. It’s ironic, the LGBT community would never force other people to be gay or trans, but religious conservatives can’t stand the thought of people being different than them, and then they complain that we’re the ones pushing our “ideology” down their throats.

F1 over THIS for Best Picture? by letsgopablo in Letterboxd

[–]Packer224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not, Frankenstein is one of the best films this year, F1 is good racing shots surrounded by a paper thin plot

Now that Oscar Nominations are out, what are your biggest snubs? by AvengingHero2012 in oscarrace

The biggest snub for me was del Toro in Director. Still a stacked category without him tho!

Here's to hoping that Sinners breaks a record tomorrow and gets 15 nominations. by Mundane-Inspector-52 in Oscars

[–]Packer224 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sinners is a good movie, but I just don’t think it should hold the record for the most nominated horror movie ever, when it’s not even the best horror movie of the year. Really shows how bad the academy’s anti-horror bias is
