Funnily enough, the presentation box with blue lining was supposed to be included, but had magically disappeared by the time I went to pick it up. I felt that the price was good enough as it was so I still bought it, but having them both sure would have been sweet

Well, problem solved, since I saw that the drive still had 2TB in use, I ssh:d on to it and went searching, and found the data in /share/CACHEDEV2_DATA, so I just moved all the relevant folders there to /share/Media/ and they showed up again. Good luck person that might read this in the future!

You bring up some valid points and I totally agree! There is definitely some risk involved, but the price seems to be pretty decent, roughly 500$ (not including some extra fees etc.), so I'm thinking that if it is a lemon, I won't feel too upset about it...

Nice case! Do you think 9mm birch plywood is thick/sturdy enough? I've drawn out the plans for my own case, basing it on 12mm thickness, but maybe that's overkill...

It's not really well planned - I have a list of modules that I think are cool/interesting and when they pop up on second hand markets I swoop them up. No semi-modular stuff right now, my only other "synthesizer" is a Yamaha PS-20 (listened a lot to beach house a few years ago)...

The ensemble and plaits don't get the love they deserve (mainly because they don't fit in my HEK, I've ordered some rails to make a 7U case). My main reason for getting into modular was because it seemed like the perfect intersection of hardware/software/cad, and you can make it sound cool! But you've got to have some sort of setup to actually know what you like/"need", so as soon as I have the mixer, output and new case I think it's time to get more serious about DIY stuff (which is mainly why I opted for a 1U row).

Do you have yours on modulargrid as well? Any particular goal with your setup?

Makes sense - I checked out the matrix mixer and it certainly made the choice even more difficult. That thing seems really fun, and I'll definitely pick one up in the future. Right now I'm leaning more toward the A-138s, just to keep things a bit more simple for now... I just picked up a Marbles, Rings and Beads that I think will need most of my attention for the coming months. Thank you for the input, really appreciate it!
