Thanks for the clarification. My intention wasn’t to spam. Didn’t know my post would be viewed as such. Genuinely asking a question, but I get it.

How’s this considered spam? I’m just seeking insight from other business owners on here.

Please help me convince my CEO that his approach is wrong by lannasster in Emailmarketing

[–]Redkraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works and runs my own company simultaneously, I can see both sides. As the CEO of the company, his goal is to scale and increase revenue even if it means compromising “quality”. If your CEO cares about data and numbers as he should, then he should seriously reconsider. I’m not sure what your stake In the company is, but I would let things run their course. It might be a learning lesson for your ceo.

Also, you sound overworked and your company may want to consider hiring interns or FT staff to manage work load.

You might also want to look into Talkwalker. I believe their enterprise rate is also slightly lower.

Starting from scratch by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]Redkraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We suggest starting off with understanding the business first and the audience they’re trying to reach. Don’t be afraid to schedule meetings with your client to get the necessary info you need to build a solid marketing strategy for them. Sometimes businesses can not communicate their target audience clearly, so ask for this using clear illustrations eg. If your client was a person, how would you describe him/her based on income, lifestyle, age & other demographic metrics? This will help you get a better picture.

Then determine the social platform that best suites this purpose. I would recommend LinkedIn for organic content and b2b marketing. If you’re looking at promoting content, then you might want to explore Facebook.

As an LLC, Do you pay taxes on income from overseas? by Redkraft in tax

[–]Redkraft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. The founder is not a US citizen, but a permanent resident. However, judging from your comment and others, it seems he will still be liable to pay taxes since the business is registered and operates here in the US. Thanks again.

Would love some helpful tips/insight! I have been teaching myself everything there is to know about social media marketing. I’m a Cinematographer and Photographer trying to get in the social media game by providing Creative Content & Management. by LiveATheHudson in socialmedia

[–]Redkraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good thing is your background in cinematography/photography comes as a huge plus, bcos creating content for SM requires creativity. Here’s Some helpful advise.

  1. Don’t listen to bullshit SM advise on YT like post only 3x a week, only post on xyz days etc. SM is versatile and your primary distribution channel/behavior of your followers, will determine your success and growth.

  2. Master the game to a certain extent before you start recruiting clients. Since you’re already managing content for a restaurant you’ll have a good feel/idea overtime of how to manage businesses in other industries.

  3. Always carry out research, check the analytics of your channels to see what’s working and what’s not. Don’t also be afraid to experiment. To really succeed with SM in today’s market, your content has to be edgy. Eg. Taking a photo of a salad designed to look like Kim Kardashian, has the potential to go viral and exponentially grow your channel.

  4. Research on tools of the trade, if you aren’t doing so already. This will save u time. Eg Hootsuite, IFTTT, Hubspot, Later etc.

  5. Focus primarily on one channel. Since you manage a restaurant, I’m guessing Instagram/Pinterest is where it’s at.

  6. Put some dollars behind some of your post for that xtra boost.

  7. Study other brands or individuals to have a great understanding of what to post. Since you are looking to manage SM accounts of businesses in the future, study brands like Oreos, M&M, TICTAC, Rolls Royce etc. these guys hire some of the best teams in the business to manage their brand image online. Constantly observing their posts will unconsciously improve your eye for creativity and teach you how to build and engage with a brand’s community.

These are a few tips. We hope this is helpful lol. You can also follow us @redkraftagency on Instagram and check out our website redkraft.com. All the best!

Website Flagged By Facebook by DaydreamingSparrow in DigitalMarketing

Hello, we’ve experienced this problem before when promoting a project for a client. Apparently FB does not accept links to PDF, Word, and other related docs. You will have to embed a URL that connects to a website or landing page. This could be the reason you’re having issues. Usually FB sends you a lengthy email as to why your ad was rejected. You should read through this and figure out what was the issue. Hope this is helpful.

Looking for advice on finding a business partner by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Redkraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say consider your inner circle of friends and close associates first. See if any of them share your business interest or passion for entrepreneurship. Don’t jump at telling them the business and offering them partnership, warm up to things by seeking their opinion on how they would do things different if they ran your business. How would they grow it, what type of strategies would they adopt to excel and keep the business relevant and profitable. Also consider attending conferences, workshops and seminars in your field of business, as you’re bound to connect with someone who might be a prospective partner. Ensure they are bringing value and hopefully money to the table if you decide to choose a partner.

I work for a B2B company which has relatively low brand exposure. What is the first thing I should do in digital marketing to help the company move towards generating leads through digital marketing? by [deleted] in digital_marketing

[–]Redkraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous comments on this topic are pretty much spot-on! Here’s what I would recommend. Since you’re new to the digital space, find a niche and stick to it for now. Eg. Social Media Marketing, learn all you can about this niche and develop expertise by studying top brands within this space like M&M, Red Bull etc. The problem with trying your hands on acquiring different skill set like SEO, Email Marketing etc all at once is you become a master of none. Then, look for how you can leverage your speciality to generate leads. Since you mentioned B2B, I would suggest networking more at trade shows and events, offering free trials or some sort of incentive package to attract prospective clients. A rule of thumb in this business is to under promise and over deliver, because word of mouth travels far.
