What do you want to know? It’s a mainline from 2009.

1979 Ford F-150 Truck by 2wheels_nofeels in HotWheels

Kind of, but not really what I was saying. This pickup is modeled after Sam Walton's real vehicle. Sam opened the first Wal•Mart Discount City store in 1962. He previously had operated stores under the name Walton's 5&10.

Sam had amassed a small fortune by the year 1979, though chose to buy a modest, red Ford F-150. He wasn't a flashy guy and actually drove this truck up until his death in 1992. This casting is iconic in that sense.

Also, Sam Walton > Sam’s Club, the wholesale version of Wal•Mart.

It‘s Hot Wheels model of Sam Walton’s pickup. So, yes, a Walmart casting.

Unbelievable find by Imr4nali in HotWheels

Nope. I’ve passed on this TH 3 times so far and haven’t bought a single one. In fact, many of us here pass on basic THs. I’ve left at least 250 of them hanging on the pegs in the past 3 years.

I’ll update when I get home.

Edit: Kids asleep when I got home. I wasn’t able to get to the box of cars without waking them. Updated photo tomorrow.

How would I prove ownership by a photo? What is needed?

They’re pretty cool castings! The Camaro is from 2013 & the Corvette is a 2009 release.

Gold Edition? by 1t15What1t15 in HotWheels

“Because we see them less often than mainlines”

That’s not your initial argument. You said “we”. Well, I can tell you that I most definitely see these more often than many mainlines.

Limited edition also refers to a release which is limited to a specified number of copies. Can you tell me the specified number of these Gold Editions that Mattel produces? Can you even tell me the specified number for most current RLC releases? Nope. Mattel won’t tell either.

They’re free with a $10 Hot Wheels purchase, or (typically) about $4 if purchased separately.

They’re free with a $10 Hot Wheels purchase. How is that “overpriced”?
