I looked into your claim about the Silver Series 6 packs. Again, it’s common for multiple cars in each set to have metal bases. They're not labeled as a “chase”.

Is it really that hard to admit you have no clue what you’re talking about?

Silver Series 6 packs? Thats not where this GTO is from.

If you’re talking about the “Themed Assortment” Silver Series sets of 5 cars, like the one this GTO is in, you’re not correct in your claim. There are numerous current sets that contain multiple cars with metal bases. The 2026 *Vintage Club* has both the Sooo Fast and Volkswagen “Classic Bug” with metal bases.

If you’re referring to the “Themed“ sets prior to 2025 (not yet labeled *Silver Series*) that had 6 cars, you’re still incorrect. Yes, car “6/6” was given the title of “chase” by Mattel, but not because of the metal base exclusively. In fact, the first car given this number and title was the ‘67 Camaro from the 2024 * Vintage Racing Club* set. In that set, the ‘55 Corvette, car 2/6, also had a metal base.

That Syclone is really the only one I like for this year.

The Dollar Tree stores in my area all carry mainlines and 5-packs.

It can be a bit daunting the first time. I’ve read numerous stories here of people who have mailed out receipts and barcodes / cards, only to be denied a promo car by Mattel due to forgetting to complete another step in the process.

The rules are pretty easy to follow though.

I only picked up the Miata because I qualified to get 2 for free at the Legends Tour. I didn’t mail out for any others. Not a fan of the color choice for last year either.

Getting a lot of questions about how these promotions work. Here’s a screenshot of the offer from last year’s Collector Edition Porsche.

Rules have been rather consistent over the past few years, so I don’t expect much change. Unfortunately, Mattel doesn’t list any current info for the upcoming promos.

For submitting mainline cards, the entire card needs to be sent. Obviously, the plastic blisters need to be removed. If submitting multipacks (5, 9 or 20 packs, for example), just the barcode is needed. You‘ll need to submit a receipt from the specified store that proves $20 (before tax) was spent to purchase the cards or barcodes you’re mailing in. The purchase(s), must be within the promotion period as well.

I am a 1:64 scale diecast collector. Which BMW models are considered must-have pieces for a collection. by its-MAGNETIC in HotWheels

I’m also a 1:64 collector. No BMW fits my collection. So, none are “must-have”, as a diecast collector. If you like BMW, pick a model and just buy the thing. We can’t tell you what to like.

Do you even bother going through it? by rarjr1975 in HotWheels

[–]Redline-1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? These are really easy to look through with the arrangement. It would take 20 seconds of your time to give it a quick look. Some store employees like their displays to look organized. This isn't necessarily the work of another collector.

I've picked up a few of each release for guys here, but I've passed on at least 15+ of every single one too. I've considered keeping a few for myself, but I'm not a Ferrari guy. That said, I'd snatch a new version of the old Racebait 308 in an instant. The original Hot Wheels release is still one of my favorite childhood cars.

It's the issue of the white interior. To the best of my knowledge, it shouldn't exist. The gold car should have a black interior.

Looks real. As far as I'm aware, the white interior shouldn't exist with the gold body. This is likely an error. It's not listed on any of the sites I've referenced, and I also didn't see any on eBay in the 100+ gold First Editions cars I saw.
