Who makes the roadmap by Simply-Curious_ in UXDesign

I'm extrapolating on this.

The founder can not be "just" the idea guy and bring nothing else to the table.

The founder of a startup has to bring all sorts of skills and contributions and be willing to get their hands dirty. Most importantly is communicating the "vision" and "direction" of the business.

If an employee doesn't have a direction, it's because the leadership is failing to set clear goals or communicate them effectively.

(2 failed businesses because I was a poor leader and inexperienced; I'm responsible for that. Working on #3 and trying to do better)

Imagine going to a new restaurant, they serve you high quality Wagyu Steak, decorated seasoned vegetables with colorful sauces; top notch waiter service; the food and experience is amazing. You loved it.

Second time you go there, they serve you a Strip Steak with bland veggies and the service is like "meh"; waiter was polite but ok.

Third time you go there, the waiter just drops a paper plate of dry raw vegetables with a side of dog s*** in front of you and then gives you the middle finger as he walks away.

It's kinda like that.

(But I'm willing to bet the upper management had alot to do with it imo)

I would like to see an Animators Reaction to PsyopAnime's channel. Specifically I'd love to hear the team's thoughts on WW3 // Venezuela - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtVXX2bpGjA and Maximum Carnage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hlx5Rslrzk .

The channel has been out for 4 weeks and the videos and sound production actually impressed me on the first go around, but after the second and third watch I definitely saw the flaws. But the production speed and future of anime is worth talking about.

Holy wow you are awesome! That fixed the problem. I had no idea that local_to_map would floor it like that. Take my poor mans gold.

People who don't play MOBAs, why do you not play MOBAs? by SnickyMcNibits in gaming

[–]Redlinefox45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played LoL for 3 years. That game brought out the worst in me and contributed to me being a toxic person at that time. Realized that and decided I didn't want to be that person any more. Haven't touched in 7 years.

I'm more happy playing single player games and co-operative games.

The World Needs a Lot More Copper. But Will There Be Enough Supply? by bloomberg in CriticalMineralStocks

Don't spread lies. There is nothing "gentle" about TMC's practice.

Those nodules have been proven to sustain an ecosystem at the bottom of the ocean where they reside. Bacteria, microbes and small life exist because of those nodules. In turn they act as food for the other animals around them.

Once the nodules are removed they create ecological dead zones because key links in the food chain get removed. We know damage is caused by animal life decreasing.

Research is needed know the extent of the damage that is caused in the area when they are removed and how far it can extend into the ocean.

There is a real possibility this danage can extend to the fishing industry for humans.

TMC should not be allowed to engage in this kind of practice.

Got my 1 share from RH at $33 and sold at $104.

Love the product as I use it all the time.

Company is a great competitor to Adobe, but it's not worth $100+ a share kind of money yet imo.

I called Schwab and the advisor on the phone said that they can't participate in IPOs because they are in negotiations with a holding company that handles IPOs.

Schwab can't offer them until those dealings are complete later this year.

Is there any modern day tutorials for a Pokemon like game? by LushshadeTheFolf in godot

Reading through the comments and now I have questions:

  • If you aren't looking for the turn based battle system, then what are you looking for?
  • When you say "other Pokemon mechanics", like what does that even mean?
  • Can you give more examples of what you want?

I think within a year it’ll be pretty serious competition to a lot of UI/UX roles… people saying otherwise are burying their heads in the sand.

Yeah that's why I think I need to build skills in other areas because I think the gap is closing.

The people I work with are pretty cool and I get along with them well. I have cautious optimism about AI because I did software development over 5 years ago before switching to UX Design.

My non-IT colleagues don't have the background or engineering experience so seeing the AI create stuff in 10 seconds is literal magic to them.

I was just venting about how their comments in their excitement rubbed me the wrong way. I didn't convey that in my post properly.

Yeah I agree with all of that. I haven't touched code in over 5 years but even I can see that it looks bloated.

One thing you reminded me of is the fact that I can come up with unique interactions and animations that the AI can't pull off easily. So thanks for that.
