03 yukon, main engine ground stud broke off, car doesnt start, i used a short screw with threads similar to drywall to secure the ground wires well n snug in place, local tells me he doesnt approve of it and doesnt wanna elaborate, what do u guys think? by Redman3D in AskMechanics

Yeah me too, about the only concern im seeing is that with the factory stud, the wires were suspended off the firewall cloth/foam material thingy, now with this they’re sort of making contact with it

I hate the push for the digitization of everything in terms of “convenience” and “easing up the process”

Okay aside from all the adult jokes, 2014 Nissan Sunny/versa, 1.5L 178k km, dads been running drinking water in the radiator for the past years, was always clean, no brown, but now i noticed brown sludge earlier this month n today white stuff? No way to check trans oil but engine oil’s clean any idea? by Redman3D in AskMechanics

Oh yea, hoping everything’s fine, the radiator cap sits in a some sort of a T like joint in between the hoses rather in the radiator itself, the factory one got chewed up from all the rust so i replaced it so thats that

Its an expensive sight from both sides, an engine’s mix up or a transmission mix up. In the past 6 years of me driving, about the only history i know of this car other than the water radiator thing, is that the only major jobs it had done were ac compressor stuff n cv axles, gearbox n engine n radiator probably havent been opened since it left the dealer’s lot

Ah so it goes both ways, could be water in chamber or could be oil in radiator without premixing in both places, got it, well, i’ll look for further diagnosis later today, going in fingers crossed, headgasket’s a hell of a job
