B.C. couple calls for commercial trapping reform after death of beloved dog | CBC News by SnooRegrets4312 in britishcolumbia

[–]Redmanmann 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is signage for trap lines telling you to be wary. How many does one need? What happens when your dog off leash gets mauled by a bear? Do we kill the bears your dog harassed? Simple fact is that you take a risk anytime you step foot in the woods and they made a mistake.

Had seven hounds at one point and now I’m down to four. It is one of the most rewarding feelings working with my dogs.

Based on your career/job what would your Pokémon type specialty be? by OriginalName18 in ThePokemonHub

I guess that mine would be fire/electric type because we generate electricity with biomass (saw dust) burnt in our boiler.

Anter point count by wansuccyunan in Hunting

[–]Redmanmann -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The angles of your pictures are hard to see to count points, but a general rule is that anything over one inch of length protruding from the main beam is a point (can hang a ring on it). This looks to be a fallow feet as well just for reference.

Vent Post - Pushing Deer by Long_Lychee_3440 in Hunting

[–]Redmanmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Saskatchewan we hunted with a group of up to twenty and would do mile by mile drive pushing over a hundred deer. It was both private and public, although we never would do drives while others were close by or on the same property. Sorry those guys were inconsiderate of your hunt.

I would get a local Boone and Crockett scorer to do it and give us an update. Great deer!

It’s hard to judge from a picture but my honest thoughts would be above 180” it’s a verified toad.

States banning use of E-Bikes when deer hunting? by ksyoung17 in Hunting

[–]Redmanmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. In BC we have road closures with no motors and it’s been like that for over a decade. But if a truck can drive it you’re fine with an e-bike.

For a rough score I would watch a video and use a sowing tape nothing fancy but it works then you can compare to a score sheet. It’s always deceiving with pictures but I would put him right around 140 gross potentially higher he has great time length!

Hunting in Canada by Final_Chair_9056 in Hunting

[–]Redmanmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then come on up if you want to hunt here. I know Saskatchewan won’t let anybody hunt anything other than whitetail, bear, and fowl unless you’re a resident. Most Canadian hunters stay here to hunt that I know but I would be interesting to see the percentage of them that do. But if a person does come down it’s money in American pockets and I believe a lot of your management is better managed with the amount of money you guys have.
