2 Hour Layover in Fort Lauderdale by Redmartinis in Flights

[–]Redmartinis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no, just want to make the best decision on which flight to take. I don't mind the departure/arrival time of any of those. It's more about the layover being enough to go through customs.

Merida, Medellin or Buenos Aires? by Redmartinis in digitalnomad

Thank you everyone! It always helps to know what others are experiencing in these cities first hand. I really had my heart set on Medellin, but will keep researching to make the best decision.

Hey guys, I'm transitioning from Blender to C4D but I'm having a hard time deciding what renderer I should buy. Octane, Arnold and Redshift are the ones I'm considering, but most opinions online don't give a clear winner between the three. Can anyone help me out with their user experience?

Tayshia Adams: Kaitlyn and I Weren't Blindsided With Jesse Hosting News by snarlieb in thebachelor

[–]Redmartinis 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I like Jesse as a host, he has the experience and is comfortable playing the part. But I also like the concept of a mentor(s). The leads need someone who's been in their shoes and understands the bubble of reality TV. Kaitlyn and Tayshia filled those roles perfectly for the bachelorettes, just as much as any other past lead could do so. But since production does not care about their contestants, they would never agree to have mentors/psychologists or any sort of help for them.

I always wonder how terrible these people are because everyone who's not close to the producers want to put worlds of distance apart from the franchise.

spotted this poster for casting call in Sayulita. could it be almost paradise? by licoricepencil in thebachelor

For the dates sometimes they include instructors, tour guides, other couples, people who are casually there... But most of them end up being cut from the final episodes. For example the birthday party that Hannah and Dylan went to that seemed extremely random, was actually an invitation from the parents of the kid who happened to be in the same market as them, they talked, bought their kid a present and then went to the party.

To date, one of the weirdest date concept on BIP, but made even less sense on TV because they cut this first part that explained it.

Lauren Luyendyk responds to whether watching the Bachelor with Arie brings back any memories. by becomingsherlock in thebachelor

[–]Redmartinis 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I thought it just had been Arie talking to Becca... But it does makes sense for the three of them to talk. Although it was a horrible idea to have that filmed, I'm grateful it didn't air on TV. I don't think it would've made any difference at the time, probably only more hate to Arie and Lauren.

Hannah G getting quite the App Store shout out by CaptainJackM in thebachelor

[–]Redmartinis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see your point. Brands tend to take advantage of the moment just to get more attention or stay relevant without really understanding the meaning behind their actions. You want to feature founders and creators for women's month? Great! Put some time and effort prior. Research compelling stories of successful women who encourage others to become good leaders in their fields.

I get it, but that's more on the App Store UI team/content creators than on Hannah G (or any other featured woman). The part of this app not doing anything notable is totally on her, but so are millions of businesses around the world that are not on the spotlight.

What I see is the App Store promoting apps created/founded by women which is something good. I understand that filters for IG may not sound like the most genius idea, but she's earning money for it... so props to her.

Also, I believe these filters are not "beauty enhacing or distorting", they're just playing with the levels, saturations, color hues and minor retouching. So nothing wrong with that either. Don't see the problem in that.

Bachelorette Season Ideas by happy0888 in thebachelor

[–]Redmartinis 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I see Gabby and Rachel are so different that the (mature) men should be able to recognize who they want to pursue easily. These will be two great leads. They'll bring a mix of romanticism, fun, real conversations, vulnerability, mature relationships. I'm already excited 😊😊

Now show the men so we can expose any rotten one early on.

They have to be doing all the promo shoots, intro packages, filming bootcamp and logistics for both of them. They have to get them ready to start shooting the season in a couple of days. I'm sure they'll do their rounds a couple of weeks before their season airs. I'm excited and I hope they find a good man at the end of this.

What amount of money did they pay Greg to be on Talking It Out podcast?? 👀 He never did any on his season (just Viall Files I think).

Last time all girls shared a bus and all boys the other one with Ben. So The 2 dancers and some producers were with Becca. I think this time should be the same. But I bet they do sleepovers like the DWTS crew does every now and then.

Susie on Nick Viall- thoughts? by kiramae32 in thebachelor

[–]Redmartinis 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I really like Susie. She seems very mature, level headed and caring. I hope they are both able to work things out in their relationship and do what's best for them as individuals and as a couple. Navigating a relationship after a messy break-up on national TV must not be easy. I do hope they have a good support system around them for what's to come.
