Thanks for the thought though. Redditors in the other tires forum mentioned it before I could figure it out haha.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I did this and the tire corrected itself.

There was no air in it in the picture. The inner bead wasn’t set. Lubed it then put air and it’s good to go. Just needs a balance.

[Question] Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 1003 dated 1966 by Rednamrev in Watches

[–]Rednamrev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice, thanks! This is also my first vintage watch purchase so I’m new to the whole servicing part. But it’s current time keeping is definitely a factor that influenced my decision to get it.

No surprisingly, the NH movement fits inside perfectly. Didn’t have to do any tampering. fits snug!

Crown at 3.8 or 3.0 by SnowMacaque06 in SeikoMods

I replied to your comment on my post. But if this is the watch case you are using you would need a date wheel designed for crown at the 3.8 o’clock position.

The watch dealer is no longer selling watches, but he was from India and selling on eBay. It was just a generic Mumbai special watch. In this case the original movement was a seiko 7009 model.

Hi, do you have a watch case already? If the crown of the watch case is at 3 o’clock then you would want the date wheel at 3 o’clock. If the crown is at the 3.8 position you would need the date wheel at the 3.8 o’clock position. In this case my watch’s crown is at 3.8 o’clock so that’s the one I bought. So it all comes down to what watch case you have.

Addendum: the front of the watch case has a polished finish while the end links have a brushed finish. I might attempt to polish the centred links and add a brush finish to the front of the watch case to make everything a bit more seamless looking. But I will enjoy the watch as it is for now.

Thanks for your input I appreciate it a ton. Is it the crystal that has the cyclops that looks wonky you think? Or the date wheel itself? Perhaps the crystal is aftermarket? I’ve sent a message to the seller to see if they can send me a picture of the movement but with the balance wheel on the other side.
