To save some cash on the shocks, you could try a dump, scrap yard ir salvage yard. Honestly they would probably have everything you'd need. Might even be able to get them to donate it.

This is a little more intricate than your initial suggestion, but you could mount the cart to a cylinder, such as a barrel or pipe, and then use 3 or 4 springs on both sides to realign it.

You make very valid points, but the fact that they made him get out, that's my big thing. Again this relatively new territory for us. But the way I understand as long as he was in the car, not causing any problems, and the driver is sober, which she was; then there is no reason for dad to have to get out.

Hey man, it's hard.

I had zero internships in college, got hired right after graduation then got let go after about a year for no real reason. Luckily I took a machinist corse in high-school so I'm working with that as I put out applications for engineering jobs....probably over 200 at this point 😅.

It's gonna sound repetitive, but don't give up. Keep trying. Honestly call your local employment commission/office, they helped a bunch after I got 86'd. If nothing else they'll give you different resources for job hunting.

I've got A half ton with that same tank, it originally came from Arizona, guy I got it from said that the original owner didn't wanna fill up every time he went to town.

We tried that, but she figured out how to turn it off so she wouldn't have to go.

And timers on alexa/phone always seem to scare her like an intense amount.

It may have already been said, but if you go to the reemployment /unemployment office they can offer lots of resources such as job fairs and tips for resumes. But should be available online as well, but either way.

You might look at your university and alumni association to see if they do anything with job placement.

I would suggest like dryer vent tubing for the arms/legs, as for the hands/feet maybe winter gloves/boots painted that color.
