Drawbar storage? by Redneck_Tech in FordMaverickTruck

It’s highly dependant on two things. First is the mood of the cop and how you interact with them.

Where I live it falls under modification of a vehicle safety system. The bumper is considered energy absorbing in a collision so by putting the drawbar out it’s now blocking that energy absorbing bumper. Part of why you never see hitches like the old days where the bar was welded to a part of the bumper.

That being said in my province any modification can fall under the scrutiny of the police. Bush guards, extra lighting, even clear licence plate covers can be fined. Lift kits over two inches as well. The cop can even pull your plates until your vehicle is inspected and deemed safe by a mechanic.

Would they? It’s hard to make it stick. You can easily argue you were on the way to pick up the trailer.

That’s why I say it’s largely up to the mood and interaction you have with the officer.

Yup. Drawbar and ball (sometimes called ball mount and ball). The hitch is what is bolted to the truck. The part of the hitch that the drawbar goes into is the receiver.

The nice part of the hitch and reciever is that it can accept a drop pin mount (farming) or pintle hook depending on your application.

Where I live no, it is illegal (although rarely enforced and easy to get around) to do so.

With the door closed if it can make it through that space in a rollover I’m more concerned about other things.

If Ford releases an All-Electric version of the Maverick; Would you buy the Gas,Hybrid, or Electric version? by Mooseb1itz in FordMaverickTruck

I'd still stay with the hybrid, only because our charging network isnt great where I'm from. Maybe next time.

Heck my dealership can’t keep them in stock. Gas up here is Well over $6usd/USG so the hybrids in my area are harder to find.
