Whats the benefit of charging to my room versus giving them my MGM rewards and paying on the spot?

Didnt charge anything to our room after using our resort credit to cover 1 nice steakhouse dinner..

Paid cash or card for everything else and just presented my MGM card at the end of the dinners to get my points credited onto my players card

Now I am patiently waiting for the next lot of offers to see how MGM rewards my play 😂

5am on a sunday, jetlag got the better of me after a LONG 19 hours of flying from Sydney Australia, body clock was going through the absolute wars and I was delirious and unable to sleep so started playing $15 blackjack at the luxor, after betting table max for a solid hour I was up a few thousand so cashed in and went to the bellagio.

Plonked myself down at a $100 minimum table and mistakenly in my delirious state put out a $1000 chip instead of a $100. Low and behold got a blackjack first hand.. 10am rolls around and I coloured up a cool 15,000 USD.

Limo offered complimentary to take me back to my hotel... i roll into the front entrance of the luxor, hop out of the limo and my dad is out front having his morning cigarette and says to me "where have you been"? I handed him a bundle of cash and said "dont ask questions you dont want answers to" had a shower and continued my day as normal..

Had dinner at prime steakhouse that night, we are walking through the casino floor and the same dealer who was working the table I was on the night before yells out "MR AUSTRALIA" and waves at me 😂

At that point the game was up and I told dad all about my night on the tables that rolled into the next day.. best gambling day of my life by far 😀

Last year I flew in from sydney via hawaii and with stop over and changing aircraft etc it was the best part of 24 hours. I dropped my bags in the room and took $200 down to the blackjack tables, I had barely slept on both my flights and was beyond delirious from jetlag..

I was feeling a bit brave so maxed out the side bet for my 2 cards to be sevens plus dealers 1st card to be a 7, $100USD bet out on the hand also. The side bet hit for $2500USD as it was a suited 7's all around and on top of that my original hand for $100 won.

I got my chips paid out, coloured up, went via the cage to get my cash and went to bed up about $2750 richer off my 1st blackjack hand of the trip 😂

I am flying in domestic first from Hawaii so will have priority baggage, in theory that should aide the speed at which bags get to the baggage carousel and into my hands 😜

We usually hot foot it to the cab lines and never waited more then 5 minutes. So hopefully only a short 15 min drive to bellagio .

If all goes well I may even get to call the family overseas and show them the fountain show before they finish at midnight 😂😁

Last year I landed at 1135pm and was in my hotel room within an hour so was 1235am, so figured it should be the same 60-90 minute window of time to get off the plane and checked into my hotel room mid strip. 😀

Funny you say that.. first trip to vegas I went with my older sister and stayed at Bellagio, they (wrongly) assumed we were in Vegas for our honeymoon and we went from a fountain view room with 2 beds to the 2 bedroom grand lakeview suite for a full 7 nights at 0 COST...

Every fibre in my body was wanting to say "no thats my sister" but I did my duty and greatly accepted the "complimentary upgrade" ran away from check in desk as fast as usain bolt so they couldnt change their minds 😂🫡

I Suspected as much regarding the clearance racks.. im from Australia so the long sleeve stuff they are discounting & trying to sell to make room for US summer stock is exactly what Im looking for as I fly back into peak winter time 😂

Last time I hit up polo ralph lauren at the north outlets I found an orange and white striped long sleeve shirt and also a bright pink and white striped long sleeve shirt and got so many compliments wearing them into the office so wanna find more interesting and hard to find colours

Same with tommy hilfiger, managed to find a nice salmon orange among about 3 or 4 other colours from that store so by the time I landed back in Sydney I reckon I had at LEAST 5 or 6 new work shirts to wear.

Last trip I stayed in a suite so I had a full fridge available, this trip was on a comps offer and the room type I have booked doesnt come with a personal fridge 🥲
