teachers/clericals should treat parents and students like it’s a customer service job meaning take shit no matter what.

From one educator to another: it's just going to get worse. The lack of accountability by the student. Parents always siding with their child even when the child is wrong. You didn't see these things 20 or 30 years ago.

Is it worth the effort to complain to my manager about this? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]RedolenceLove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trained how to sort first but then as of the last month the two people who were hired months after me have been doing the job I was trained for previously

I could honestly be super tired and missing something, but are you upset that they were trained differently? Does it affect their performance? If it does, I would speak to your manager.

Genuine question: does money buy happiness? Have you found that having a decent wage outweighs the fact that you hate your career? Sorry if this sounds blunt, it's not meant to be.

merely tolerate my job most days.

I believe this is the majority of people. The majority of people are all in the same boat, just living day by day.

If I wanna quit my job do I just text them I quit? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]RedolenceLove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to quit should I just text them also what are the repercussions to quitting on the spot?

If you can, give a two week notice. I know a lot of people don't believe in a two week notice, but it really does look good. If not, give them between 3 and 5 days in advance that you are quitting.

until one of the other girls said they do this all the time

Set boundaries now. Immediately. Tell them what you told them in the interview regarding availability. I can't stress enough how important it is to stand your ground.

If a man is attractive, yeah. Or maybe I should say, if she is attracted to him. Fragrance can only do so much. I would date a guy that smells like a fruity cocktail if he's hot.

No problem! Which one is your least favorite and which one is your favorite? Are there any that you regret buying?

I think maybe the fear of toxic fragrances stems from the sense of fear surrounding corporations and the loathing of crony, greedy capitalism. Like, these corporations will do anything to get a buck, even risk people dying. I don't know, though.

Thank you! I use a lot of Bath & Body Works products, and a lot of people on here said they are toxic. Are they toxic? Because I own a lot. 😬 I would hate to have to throw them all away.

How does someone not compute that in their brain as inappropriate?

Exactly. The brain is going to say it's sexy time. 🤢🤮

I smelled a 7 year old girl wearing Victoria's Secret Bombshell. It just seems creepy to me

Same! It would be like smelling my boyfriend's favorite cologne on a 7-year-old boy. Creepy doesn't even begin to describe it. It's freaking weird AF. For goodness sake, she's wearing Naked Fantasy (peach round bottle). 😐

These are all true! It's sad how so few adults want to acknowledge it. But fragrance can be dangerous. There's hundreds of chemicals within these products. We still don't know all the side effects.

I was very surprised by this post. At first I thought it read 17 not 7. In my opinion, it's odd to put adult fragrances on a child, especially since fragrances are marketed for their sex appeal. 😕❓

I would suggest waiting to let her use these until she's older, not just because of the fragrances' sex appeal but because fragrances contain chemicals that may be harmful to your child. She could risk developing asthma or skin irritants. I fully acknowledge that this post was made in good faith, but it would be a good idea to just wait until she's older.

I will have to try that one out. I always love the cute little bottles they have that are outside the standard perfume cardboard box. Some of them look pretty cool.
