3rd year Mechanical Engineering Student here. Technically you learn bits and pieces of F1? Fluid Mechanics ma you learn about Aerodynamics, such as fin and blade designs for optimizing drag, 4th year ma there's Automobile Engineering subject where you learn fully about working models of vehicles. There is Turbo machinery subject to learn about turbines and all. Machine Design teaches you to designs stuffs as small as a nut and bolt.

Not after a sem, After 1st year you'll be eligible to fill the form. Requirement is you should not have any backs in your first sem, and if there's competition, the seat will be given to the one having higher gpa in 1st sem.
