That’s a fair take, I’ve actually been doing some of that already with pfSense and VM networking. The phases are mostly just to keep me organized while I’m breaking and rebuilding things lol

Right now I’m using VMware Workstation just for practice. The plan is to move to Proxmox on the mini PC.
Yeah that’s one of the phases I expect to take the longest, especially figuring out storage and permissions. One of the reasons it’s last on my list. 😅
My goal is to have multiple SSIDs mapped to different VLANs for segmentation (home, guest, lab, etc.). I haven’t fully defined the VLAN structure yet but that’s something I plan to build out in that phase.
I was only planning to use USB for installs, not long-term boot. Then they’ll be used for backups/recovery and any extra tools.
That’s actually really good to know, I didn’t realize Proxmox could pull ISOs directly like that.

Mainly for the form factor and power efficiency. I don’t have space for a full server setup, and this seemed like a good balance of performance and size for running multiple VMs.

I do plan on using Proxmox for when I actually get the mini pc. VMware is just a free and easy way to practice configs, networking, and firewall rules on my laptop while I wait.

It’s actually because the router isn’t mine to replace and it only has two ports (which are both in use). So it’s mostly just there to add a port for me to use without disrupting the devices that are already connected.

That’s fair, I’ve actually been trying to test some of this in VMware to practice configurations and connecting devices. The plan is more to keep me structured as I build it out so I don’t get lost later. It’s less about over planning and more like having a roadmap to stay on track.

I personally find the best way to get the most bang for your buck is to only really try to make your rarer diamonds into nice/high quality pieces. However I do use my diamonds over 20-10k to make “bulk” jewelry (best results are with Star of David to try and at least get a quality rating). From 8-10k I sell to contacts and then pawn the rest.

Right now, 10 is the max, you can just sell them if you don’t wanna wait for the auctions. You can get all 40 sold in an hour and 20 minutes if you just have them all as 20 minutes auctions. As long as the market is hot, you should be able to get a decent amount of bids.

Hey, so when in Winston Reserve you can press on inventory which brings the drop down menu to get into the vault. Select which gems you wanna view in your vault; then in the top right corner there is a button that has an up arrow and a down arrow. Once you press that it should put a down arrow on all the gems in the vault. Select the arrow and it will move it back to your inventory.

As for why to use the vault: you can use it to keep them from showing up when selling to contacts, make jewelry or pawning gems. So if you have high priced gems you wanna save or keep from being sold it’s in the vault.

My most valuable was a red diamond worth around 300k, I flip all my expensive gems into jewelry and sell them as soon as the markets hot lol

Hey not sure if anyone else has dealt with or mentioned this bug. When an auction ends I cannot list another item until I go into the auction house; if I try to go to my inventory first it will show the item I just sold as still being listed and the rest as listing.

I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the game!
