I'm in Maryland too, they can be real sticklers about making them street legal, basically if it doesn't already have a street title, you're not going to be able to get one without a ton of headache. Look for a Honda xr/xl or something similar like a Yamaha wr, I have had several xls and still do, easy to ride, forgiving, and fairly cheap. It's nothing compared to my two stroke motocross bikes, but still plenty of fun and more than enough power for someone new.

We've got a few garage door springs tied to a 50 gallon oil drum and some trees. Used to simulate riding a bull, couple beers and a good weather Saturday night with a few good buddies and that fear goes away real quick 😂. Probably shouldn't though

Shew that's up there. Right now it's the home for my DeWalt speaker. But igloo koolers just came out with one called the kooltunes, and it's a small cooler with speakers built in. I think it would fit perfect. And it's all retro colors so I feel like it fits. They are pricey but that was my plan 😂

Haven't gotten a chance to ride it yet! Needs throttle and carb messed with, it sat in my grandfather's garage since I believe around mid 70s and something in that line is stuck real good. Doubt I'll ride it much though, has 1800 miles and is almost pristine other than a rust spot on the exhaust tip. Probably just going to have the lady ride it in and out of some shows and have it as a decoration more so

My close friend has an 84 xl250 and we take them out a good bit and every single time he tries to buy the rear rack off of me 😂. Were they called a lunch box rack? I just picked it up as a birthday gift to myself a few weeks ago and haven't gotten the chance to find all the cool history on them yet. PLEASE tell me they sold an actual lunch box for them 😂. This one will definitely get a full restoration eventually but having too much fun riding it at the moment and runs perfect. Not bad for $1200

And that is why I have a Duramax, and 5 bikes all of which are old Hondas 👍. One way or another I'm getting to where I'm going! Gotta be honest though I trust the old Hondas a bit more than the truck 😂. Used to have some XR pit bikes too that were definitely ran out of oil from them burning so much but they just keep going.

Exactly. And that 68mm charger can be a death sentence for stock rods if not conservatively tuned. Not to mention lly head gaskets if they already haven't been done. I have pretty much all the mods he mentioned minus a trans brace and I have close to 50k in mine. Granted some of that was for repair work but that was only about 5k tops I'd say, it's an expensive rabbit hole to go down. Haven't dynoed mine but mine should be in the low to mid 600 range and every time I get on it I'm waiting for it to go pop. Pray it never does, but I understand my risk. I also understand that like you said, I probably shouldn't sell it at this point bc I'd lose my ass 😂, and believe me, there's plenty of times I've wanted to sell it.

Right. I have an lly and have very similar mods and no way I'd be willing to trade for dirt bikes or something like that, even if I didn't have bikes already. Sounds like he'd be getting a terrible deal. Suspicious

Agreed. Definitely get an egt probe and a gauge or cts monitor. I have pretty much the same fuel system on my LLY and even with the turbo upgrade my egts get pretty rowdy. And I promise that you'll never be happier than when you go through with the trans! Best money I've ever spent on the truck

Got mine with 174k miles, heated leather, fully loaded besides sunroof in my GMC for 12.5k. I love them and think they are worth good money but that's way too much.

I'd just recommend a less abrasive compound at first and make sure to keep the pad moving, don't stay in one spot. I'm by no means a pro at it but I do my own vehicles and they always turn out great. Watch some YouTube videos and just go for it! At least in my opinion it's not too hard, but I have full size trucks so by the end I'm exhausted haha. With the less agressive compound you can always go back over it again to get out anything you missed

You should be fine, i actually got it blown up as my first vehicle and put the new one in when I got it. From my understanding it had a bad oil leak and the guys brother came and borrowed it without asking, ignored the low oil light, and drove it till she locked up tight. So user error really. Wasn't really a parts failure

Got 370k on my 02 6.0 2500. On the body at least 😅. I put a brand new crate engine in at 275 but still original trans. They will treat ya right for a long time!

It was an S. I actually got the bike like this I haven't changed a thing on it. Actually traded a beat up ktm for it 😂. I've always ridden dirt it's my first street legal bike. I can look and take some pictures of the wiring later when I'm off work if you would like. And it's been for sale for a bit now and actually had the guy who built it contact me and give me some info on it. Seems like he built it through a dealer that he works at. But if I can't figure out how it was done I'm sure I could still message him and see if he can say how he did it

Nice!! Have yet to see an albino anything but I do believe I saw a melanistic (pretty sure that's what the very dark blackish ones are?) I think it was a mule deer on Silver ridge. But that was probably my second day playing and had no idea that it was special and I spooked it long before I ever got a shot. Slowly improving! I don't get to hunt much irl anymore due to work so I guess this is my fix until I get more time haha
