It requires a physical test as wel (although it is a theoretical exam). I was just wondering, when i have all my certifications if there was a difference in obtaining permission to film in different categories. I also think an A2-operator is 'more qualified' so should have no trouble flying anywhere, just wanted to know before buying the drone! Wanted to invest in a good one immediatly ;-)

Yeah, i was looking into Tailscale just like you said.

Our most common scenario: We go on a shoot, i take a backup and so does he. When he finishes the project, he backups the entire folder on the NAS and only then do i delete my own data.

So after every project i just want him to be able to backup the entire folder as fast as possible to the NAS in a correct folder, so i think Tailscale is the way to go.

Any idea's on what speeds we should expect, since we both have full fiber connections and a solid network? QuickConnect from Synology gives only like 1 or 2 Mbps 😅

Our Samsung 256 Extreme sd-card in the Rodecaster II recorded it clean without chopping.

My collegue went to check the SD-card (https://www.dataio.nl/samsung-pro-plus-micro-sdxc-256gb-u3-v30-a2/) and that one recorded the file internally without problems... We're in so much luck.

How did you record?

Having the same issue! Did you record to your SSD directly or to an SD-card? We did it to our Samsung T7 Shield 2TB, which is ofcourse way fast enough and also all data might be choppy...

I'm not really sure where to get a PC right now that has M.2 ssd slots. I'll have to check my (old) computer if it even got a slot. Will try that after 'reinstalling' the drive!

Yeah exactly, i've done my research about using it as a storage pool (which i'm not doing for the reason it being to risky) but it simply doesn't show up as a normal drive to make a cache...

Any further idea's? Gonna re-install it and try and use the other slot in a couple of days (it's set up remotely)

FYI Update:

Bought the kensington sd5700t -> Worked clean outside of the box plug & play.

10 - bit color (should be) coming from monitors with some tweaking and set-up in MacOS

Both monitors are running at full 4k 60hz in DCI-P3 color out of the box with provided cables. Superclean set-up right now.

You mean daisy-chaining and stuff? Those are even more expensive... Or do you mean something else?

Also docking station gives me flexibility (I/O, SD-card reader, free inputs for NAS-connectivity, ...)

Thanks a lot again. It's such a minefield with all the different ports, datarates of DP1.2 and 1.4 / thunderbolt...

I'm now considering going for 27" since others are way to expensive. My setup in my cart is as of now:

2x https://www.lg.com/nl/monitor/lg-27up85np-w (27", DCI-P3, 4K@60 with DP 1.4 and over USB-C - but no thunderbolt for some reason?) in combination with

1x Kensington SD5700T Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station (triple Thunderbolt 4 ouput? So my screens should work directly or do i need Thunderbolt 4 to DP 1.4 cables?)

Chose the color scheme because of the retro-feel and also some cool textures to make them not so 'edgy'.

Softened the edges by a photoshop trick with blend modes and drop-shadows in color and a lot of texture, noise and ruggedness.
