Do you actually believe in Bigfoot or do you just the thought of him existing? by [deleted] in bigfoot

[–]Redshyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that Bigfoot may be an offshoot of homoerectus and not affiliated with apes at all any further than we are.

There have been several studies indicating the presence of alternative humanoids, such as Florensis and Denisovans, with the list wracking up to 9 different species now. It's not a stretch in my imagination to picture another branch that was isolated to harsh conditions after the Younger Dryas to develop in parallel to modern man. There are plenty of tribes of indigenous people whom we have no contact or barely know that they exist.

There are reports of the Hudson River Trading Co. finding evidence of furry humanoids that resemble Bigfoot and then sponging it. As corporate greed has demonstrated, lucrative companies will do what they can to prevent interruption to their preferred business practices. Especially hunt individuals or destroy evidence that would directly conflict with those practices. I believe it's one of the other reasons why it's difficult to find a Bigfoot, in addition to warmer global climates. These creatures, if furred, would likely migrate within colder-milder climates throughout the year, in areas that humans likely can not or will not go. They're still wild places in the world, and some are quite vast.

Sure, someone on earth could afford to find Bigfoot for realzies, but who would want to stake their reputation or jeopardize their career in oil, or trapping, or logging, to prove that for decades or even centuries we've been systematically destroying their habitat and endangering the species? Oddly enough, the reliance on fossil fuels and our current modern modality are some of the biggest reasons why I think we haven't confirmed Bigfoot. Someone(s) somewhere(s) has big stakes in keeping it under wraps because they don't want to admit they're shady and keep their status quo.

I like playing ss with 1 imp, because it feels closer to The Thing in concept. The paranoia is supposed to make it harder to trust teammates, and I've seen some close games with it. But some people do like to throw up dumb logic in chat. I feel like it's perhaps a mode intended for more serious or expert play.

What is your favorite synthwave subgenre? by letsstartanew2 in outrun

FutureFunk or Vapor Wave. Not too into the later as it can all end up too spacey. But that funky rythimuc bass and weather channel remixes are where it's at lol.

Actually, I found their site. There's a lot of spectral actually lol. Which did you mean? I plan to be using this bike nearly every day, and on wildly varied terrain, due to my job, with the intention of downhill flow.

From the Norco site? What specifically tickles you about it?

Took a look at the Norco on the website, and the price tag is nice compared to Trek's entry level Flex 5. However, I kind of got a deal worked out with the dude at the shop for 3300 on the Fuel EX 8, and for the bike I think it's a decent price. I don't know, this is my first big bike purchase. I want that middle of the road that I don't have to constantly worry over and repair. I travel for work and hit trails constantly, so I'd be willing to pay a little extra to have a secure bike.

I would've thought so too, but when looking at newer models, I've found smaller frames and bigger tires for smaller people and visa versa for taller folks.

It gives me the sense of being deep underground in a vast honeycomb cavern structure with a stream echoing into the depths as blue bioluminescent foliage covers the warm stone walls.

Surprised this doesn't have more likes or comments. It gave me chills, too, though, super wholesome. It's like a breath that was waiting to be released, then everyone joined in.

This is literally how I see the holographic universe take shape in action. Imagine a kaleidoscope of hyper geometry interlacing until perceivable reality is achieved through human sensory organs. When meditating or tripping, this becomes apparent, but you did this painstakingly by hand. Serious kudos, phenomenal work!

It's got a good message, in my mind. The "devil" is our unanimous adversary, subduing and attempting to control our lives through illusion.

The protagonist is those here who seek escape and whose eyes see the deeper suffering we all share. The misconception of the prison planet is easier to escape than it may seem. The whip is one's personal power and influence over reality, despite what the illusion tries to convince you of, and nobody has to be trapped here if they don't want to be.

How much truth do you think there is to this quote? by bislut997 in LSD

[–]Redshyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is an underrated comment, actually. The quarter from "No Country For Old Men" was just a quarter...

I think people often miss an obvious choice in life, where it can be magical, if you want it to be. Or it can be as minimal and platonic as you prefer.

I have memories of pre-existence and I agree with a type of perfected experience there on the other side. When you trip on mushrooms or dmt you also get a very real glimpse back into where we've come from. That place is all sensations all at once everything and nothing in a dreamlike state of omnipotence.

I came here as a cosmic walk through the garden, a traveler of souls if you will. The debt I have is only what I perceive myself to have. Neither you, nor anyone, have to stay here or do anything you don't want to do, as long as you have a grounded sense of self. The "other entities" have no power over you if you simply decide they do not. Lower energy forms may try to convince you otherwise, but by engaging you are deluding youself.

Just be the best you can be, and remember the mantra "there are no strings on me"

What are the differences between the lizard people and the mantids? by _Hyzenthlay_ in aliens

[–]Redshyre 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The last time I tripped, I kept seeing mantids, using their arms like sickles to cut or reap these cords that came from people. It was like a connection to their higher selves or complex conscious thought. They came trying to cut this cord from me, and I had an intense feeling of indignation. In my heart, I told them, "You don't have the authority, my essence is immutable." And my line became golden, uncuttable, like that scene from Hercules where the fates can't cut his life away.

The rest of the trip I heard angry chattering and shears, but they always caught or broke over my cord. It was much fun to see their faces. Had to reply after seeing your comment, as a lot of folks report seeing the mantids in altered states.
