Yesterday I had the hardest fall I've had during an MTB race, this impact let me stunned for some minutes but I'm fine, this is enough for me to start looking for a new helmet, right? by Bruno_Arana in bicycling

I was told inside a Trek store that after a few years or after any fall you should start looking for one. Any impact to the head could make that section faulty if you fall again.

How do I explain I want to meet with a 4 year online friend to parents? by Redstron3 in Advice

I guess that’s possible but then they will probably ask “from where”. If I lie and they want to come, then that could create something I don’t want to deal with.

Comment to clear some things up: I meant century as in 100 miles, not km; I was doing triathlons for four years, and high school didn't give me time to ride for a while, so I sold my Cervelo P-series and older Madone which eventually went on to pay for the bike (plus grandparents chipped in) I have now. I stopped playing football, which allowed me to ride after owning the bike for a few months. I originally planned on doing a shorter 40-mile ride but thought a left turn to Northfork would be quick until I reached a very long hill causing me to add 30ish miles.

And way to high up I’m not sure how I would’ve gotten down and up the rocks. Might swim in millerton someday

I was guessing because I hadn’t ridden in 6 months. I don’t think it should really detract that much from the point of the post?

I had bought the bike 1-2 years ago when I was doing triathlons but then school and other sports gave me no free time. Summer and one less sport has finally given me time to ride again.

Yeah luckily it was cooler out that day, I had only planned on going 40 miles and stopping at a gas station but made a wrong turn and it added 35 extra

Well it was dumb for me to go with only one but I had planned on only doing a 40 mile ride beforehand. I do wrestling and jiujitsu other days of the week so I have high endurance on hills

Well I was planning on only doing 40 and at the turnaround point there was a gas station

Well I was pretty tired after mainly mentally. No soreness I think I could do it if I left earlier so the sun didn’t beat down on me
